Race Car Videos~!

Alot of guys have GoPro or BlackVue cameras for recording autocross/track events. Most of us just go over them privately, to see where we screwed up and how to get faster.

I'd like to start a safe-zone thread that we can post 86 racing videos (track only, no street racing!!) with embarrassment impunity. We can learn proper lines and how different mods will affect handling dynamics.

Car - bone stock with Enkie RPF1 17x7, Dunlop Direzza ZII 215-45-17, no camber adjustment. 37 psi front, 33 psi rear.

Camera - Blackvue dr500gw-hd

Event - Houston Region SCCA "Rookie Skool" (4/6/13, Houston Police Academy). Temperature ~80 F

Videos:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp1qALHmNRU"]Houston SCCA Rookie School 2013 - Practice Course 2 - YouTube[/ame]

I have ~15 more vids that will get posted from the weekend. Every one more shameful than the last. :-P

Nice run! With all the light posts in this lot, it would be nice to have more cones to map out the track. When you're spinning around a corner, the last thing you want is to try to *find* the road Maybe it's not that bad after a few laps?

Nah, it really wasn't bad at all. I HATE courses with 600 cones when 150 would get it done. I believe experienced autocrossers will walk a course and pick out 10-15 cones to pay attention to and drive around those. JMO

TPTBoy (and many members of the Houston 86 Club) did a Driver's Edge event at Motorsports Ranch - Houston. Here's a video of his session

Car: Enkei 17x8.5 with Hankook RS3 245 rubber. Brake pads, rotors, lines, fluid. Intake (?) and exhaust.

[ame]http://youtu.be/JnfGiPJfuO0[/ame]

Kept up nicely with a GT3 and Mustang GT. His lines were really smooth and by the end, he was clipping corners like a pro.

MOAR from TPTBoy.

He says the 4th session was his fastest. All of his runs look pretty fast to me. Below is some of his 3rd session.

Wow, very gnarly video of AJBRZ in heavy rain, really interested in what people think are better tires for those conditions. I live in California and I've biased my car towards dry pavement, hence Kumho XS ECSTA 215/40/17 (actually would have gone with Hankook RS3, but out of stock).

Learner's lap at Thunderhill

Here's a learner's lap at Thunderhill, following an instructor's line. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's driving Miss Daisy but I go back to this video to instill the proper line in my head, next time I go back, most likely in June.

New England Region - SCCA AutoX - April 19th, 2014 - "Springtime Coneage"

Here are my last 4 runs. The first two were rather slow and unentertaining.
