I think it will be $22K US msrp.
I know that this comparison is apples to oranges but a 2.5L i4 6spd auto camry has an msrp of $22k and a 3.5L v6 comes in with an msrp of $25-26k. I think it's hard to justify higher prices of 25-28k on the 86 while keeping to toyota's theme of affordability. For me affordability = quality, meaning great value for what you spend.. |

Edit : As soon as we see the US price we will know the Canadian price for the FR-S... Scion charges 7 to 9% more for each model in Canada than the US. So if the FRS is $23000 in the US then it should be about $25000 here. It definitely needs to compete with the 2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T which is a solid seller in Canada, far more than the US. when is the official pricing suppose to be announced?
If they can off it at 23k base and 26k for the premium model (both with no additional options) then that would be great the closer it is to 30k the worse the outcome will be |

Reliability Better interior Better seats Better looking Still rather practical (fold down rear seat) Maybe when the come out with the next-gen WRX with the 1.6 DI turbo I might have a more difficult time deciding, but right now its a no-brainer unless all you care about its straight line performance and fitting 4 people into the car. |
