I think the tilited radiator is for accommodating the low hood and also for a lower center of gravity for part itself.
IIRC the MX-5 and the RX-7 also had tilted radiators.

I figure other cars with short hoods would have something like this. Subaru has never done it before, so its something new on that end.

Long time lurker here. I just registered to say, the Initial D OP song starts playing at 1:22! Haha.

I'm so hype about this car. I've been watching it for a year now. This will be my first real car after college. (by real, I mean "paid for by myself").

All the current Subaru headers are like that, even the turbo ones.

They are welded to prevent heat shield rattle, and they are elaborate in order to keep the heat in and heat up the catalytic converter (crucial for emissions).

Instant weight saving

My bet on where aftermarket FI setups will place the turbo.

If a turbo is this low then a pump is needed to drain the oil back to the pan. So I would guess a higher position would be used if at all possible.

Heatshields are good, hotter exhaust gases move faster.

I have never seen a USDM Turbo vehicle with the above Header before. That is an Equal Length exhaust and I am not even sure what Model that comes off of. Could you tell me where you got that picture?

My guess would be it came from a JDM WRX that doesn't use a TwinScroll Turbo that keeps the exhaust headers in a 4-2 Setup until the turbo, but they use Equal Length Tubular headers for better performance still.

Those are normally aspirated headers, from a US spec 2.5i.

The one I got from Japan was from the 2.0R Legacy (which was rated at like 190ps with a high redline too, IIRC).

None of those photos are from turbo cars.

Ahh ok makes since. Just didn't think they routed the exhaust around like they did for Turbo engines on the MY08+ Impreza's

They actually started doing that back in '06.
