Documentary video showing Toyota 86 production / assembly process
This Report shows the 86 being made in a Subaru factory, and goes into the history of the car. One thing is sure... I don't see anything being hand made in this.... IT shows alot of other things like the nav screen etc this is a very educational video. Shows how Toyota and Subaru worked with Playstation to make the 86

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...amojen/935.jpg Note the heat shields. Here is a USDM header without heat shields: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...amojen/2-1.jpg Here it is with heat shields: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5.../DSC000701.jpg All the current Subaru headers are like that, even the turbo ones. They are welded to prevent heat shield rattle, and they are elaborate in order to keep the heat in and heat up the catalytic converter (crucial for emissions). |
