I believe the main concern was the lack of a torque overlay.

But a hp line is a direct result from a fixed calculation from a torque line.

So it can be easily generated if you require it.

Ask and ye shall receive!

Converted kW to Hp and extrapolated lb-ft from that.

Red = stock HP and Tq
Green = Twin screw Hp and Tq

Notice a nice 40-50 lb-ft in the dip! But as mentioned before, the issue here is that their car in stock config puts out really low numbers. This makes the gains LOOK subtle but in actuality if this dyno/car registers low (which it looks like) then the kit is underestimated with this graph. One way to look past this issue is to look at the delta between stock vs. modified. The delta is pretty good.

For example you are looking at the delta of 70 Hp (54%) at redline!!! If a stock FR-S normally (on a more forgiving dyne) makes 160 Hp near redline, then this sc could potentially give a boost of 86 Hp making it 246 Hp. Not too shabby. But alas, we can e-estimate all we want but nothing will replace a genuine US based dyno.

If you reset the baseline to a more "American" number like 165whp you end up around 240whp.

OMFG enough with the dynos drawn in crayon or the dynos posted a billion years ago on a prototype without torque or any other supporting data.

Without a damned dyno of the kit they are SELLING this is useless.

I hope the tuners can take this thing and show us what it can do.

I wonder why they got rid of Visconti cuz he was teasing everybody like a little girl about tuning this kit on someone's dyno.

I highly doubt this company will show a dyno (God knows what they are hiding) I think someone will have to purchase this kit and do a dyno themselves.

Is that a fact or speculation (honest question?)

If they let him go because the tune was not producing good numbers... I've got news for them, it won't get much better.....

i think there is enough data available for someone seriously considering a purchase to make up their mind. we all know we're looking at low-mid 200's at the wheel on pump. i don't think anyone really says 'if it's 230+, i'm buying, but not at 225'.

people who buy this kit will probably buy it on preference for the PD blower. Everyone knows a turbo (well, maybe not avo) will make far, far more power. some don't care and prefer a low end kick of a blower. they're not hanging on the edge of the seat to make a decision based on a dyno.

the people who hound for a dyno probably have no means or intention of actually buying the kit. if they did, and cared so much about dyno numbers, they'd have bought a turbo already. generally, i've found that forum jockey's care more about dyno's than the people who actually paid to build the car, and drive it every day.

Lots of things I agree with your post, but I will add that there are also a group of customers who want a SC, PD blower AND solid HP/TQ figures.

IMHO, anyone who is willing to shell out thousands of dollars without having WHP/WTQ figures is kind of crazy.

^Exactly. I'm not about to throw 4k at a company who won't provide something that will turn the heads of FRS/BRZ owners.

If you want me to buy your product, then convince me to. Sitting back and being hush about it and driving away companies/tuners to carry and sell your product is the exact reason why I will not go near this thing for now.

I've talked with one company and John about purchasing this kit. The company gave up on waiting (who was in direct contact with Innovative from my understanding) and now from the post above I see that John was removed for whatever reason.

John single handedly could have gained back the mistrust this company has tagged itself to. I'm not saying 100% that its Innovatives fault on this, but people have short memories when it comes to data and customer appreciation.

I offered on multiple occasions to test their unit and post legitimate 3rd party dyno, install guide and review. Each time, I was told numbers would be coming soon.

Oh well, I tried.
