Just want to remind both old and new owners to check their that their PDI tie down holes are installed. Was doing a bit of spring cleaning and noticed mine were still in the glovebox. Remembered reading about them, but never bothered to check until now.

Has anyone in Ottawa had a turbo or SC installed yet? Love my BRZ but will ultimately like a bit more power.

I'm waiting a while, we'll see which ones blow their engines. So far, some are running reliable 300 whip on stock blocks without issues. |

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone in Ottawa has experienced the idle/ecl issue found here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15577 This started on Wed when I noticed a really rough idle to the point it stalled. Thought it was an isolated incident. Fast forward to Friday, idled rough again, and ECL and slip lights came on. I brought it in on Saturday and OBD codes were: P0008, P0017. From what I've read, I need to get the ECU reflashed, but the tech said they were not able to re-flash and have to order a new ECU which won't arrive till Tuesday. They said its still fine to drive, but ECL and slip lights are still on. The car feels really sluggish on acceleration, but I'm not sure if this is just in my head because I'm pretty disappointed about this happening. Hopefully this gets fixed on Tuesday, not the best way to start since the weather was beautiful this weekend.

Found a REALLY weird quirk about my BRZ, if I corner hard enough with traction control on, if my Ipod is connected to the nav system, it will freeze

hopefully in a couple weeks from now I will have enough saved. I would recomended checking out the full blown stage one base kit. It looks much better than everything else out there right now, at 8 psi it will easily put out 300whp on 91 octane with stock internals. There is a guy in Barrie that just bought this same kit and he is starting his install this week, I will keep you posted on how his build goes.

Nice to see the upgrades
I'll try to attend the greet on the april 26th.
It's nice to see more and more FR-s/BRZ on the road now that spring is springing...at least trying. It's nice to see guys investing in the car's looks or performance. I'm taking notes for now...with a baby on the way I can't invest in my FR-s for now. ![]() I'd like a decal too, they look good. |
