That may be true, but paying $2,000 for OEM HIDs probably won't do anything more than paying $300. It will cost you more when you buy it and won't do anything like add the difference of $1700 when you sell it.

Yuck, Scion definitely put their brand all over this. Really too bad the release of the FR-S went under Scion and not Toyota.

Thankfully there are only 2,500 of these and hopefully they remain garage queens as "collector" cars...

I'm betting the headlights will eventually make its way on the regular model. Really dislike the illumination but if you're going to do it, why the F would you introduce ANOTHER color into the a cabin that doesn't even match the rest of the color scheme/illumination? FAIL.

Those are the main differences between this and the BRZ Limited so it HAS to be priced below a BRZ Limited to sell.

The BRZ Premium is wingless with manual climate controls and this has auto climate and a spoiler so pricing it between the BRZ Premium and Limited would be reasonable. Then those gimmicky illuminated things can be considered free extras that can be switched off/swapped out.

But seriously, Scion had an opportunity to hit a home run with our crowd if they simply replaced those gimmicks with fogs and/or leather/Alcantara seats. This car sells to our type of enthusiast; not the xA/xB customization crowd. Scion's idiotic marketing department is either still stuck in 2003 or failed to realize that the FR-S target audience =/= xB, tC, xD, iQ target audience.
Although with that said, I did see some stupid comments on their Facebook page from 14 year old Mexican kids that they should have modded it more. I guess those are the people they are listening to instead of all of us.

Perhaps for a fleeting second I thought it might be neat to get one of these. Then I saw the glowing badges. Definetly a deal killer. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and wait to see what 2014 has to offer.

Exactly, not only is it dumb and excessive but it doesn't even match. The color scheme is a mess!

By the way, I saw you have a Mitsubishi Mirage. Did you see the new Mirage announced today? Supposedly gets 40MPG combined - best gasoline non-hybrid on the market. Should be a good girl car or beginners car.

Its almost as if they said "The FR-S owners want the BR-Z parts they didn't get, so lets give them that with a nice big ol side of rice!"

If it's $2k just for HIDs, then yeah. That's stupid.

Well when they keep selling body kits and 'look at me' parts over performance, they feel that's where they need to cater. We, as owners need to show this is a drivers car. Leave the boom boxes and body kits to the TC.

SC10N Series could of chosen different colors... but I'll be interested to see in person to see that silver.

Except for the color, it has everything I specifically did not want on my FR-S. I'm also definitely not even remotely cool enough for glowing badges...seriously, I'm not.

glowing badges are neat in a show car setting but on the street? Get ready to have your badges stolen, ripped off, made fun of etc. Its going to be quite the target for vandals.
