I reset my computer with an OBDII scanner and have been driving it less spirited. So far no codes, I've put roughly 38 miles on it. Next up is a tune to fix the check engine light for good. I thought about trying some defoulers, but where the O2 sensors are under the car, they will be a pain to install. For now, I will reset my check engine light on an as needed basis until I get the tune.
Has the drone and loudness increased? I see you have a high flow cat front pipe (which I also have) hoping that still keeps the loudness and rasp away. Is it still very livable?

The loudness has increased but only under hard acceleration. This may be different from me as we have two different catback systems. As far as drone goes, when you are cruising at 45 or 70, as long as you are maintaining a constant speed there is no drone. Just so you know my history, my previous car was an 04 Accord V6 6-Speed straight piped, so I know all about drone

Installed the header last night, sounds great!

Just have to sort out a major exhaust leak.... I reused the header to overpipe gasket, I think that may be the cause of it even though it looked fine

Can anyone else with the borla header and a quiet/stock exhaust comment on this?

I have a Q300 which is fairly quiet and I can hear a sewing machine sound/light ticking when on the throttle under load. I thought it was an exhaust leak but I've checked and taken it apart/resealed it twice.

I'm thinking the thin tubing of the header allows you to hear the exhaust pulses/sound which makes the sewing machine noise.

Anyone have any input? It just sounds like an old smallblock V8 with a slight header leak at low rpm, the exhaust note is fantastic though

I have a q300 and the same noise. I think it might be the thin tube walls

With the Borla Header?

Thats good to know, I have taken the header/exhaust apart too many times trying to seal "leaks"

I just want to say thanks for taking the time to put this together and filming/editing for the rest of us that are still on the fence. Great job!!

Btw, your car sounds sick!! Only thing you're missing is the Perrin silicone intake tube. Very nice setup so far. One question...stock tune or ecutek tune?

Thanks again!!

No problem! I enjoyed making making it :happy0180: I definitely want to pick up the Perrin silicone intake tube and lightweight pully. All in red of course As far as tuning goes I'm still running on the stock tune for now. I'll be doing either a FA20club or Visconti tune once I get my money in order. I do want to throw this information out there. In my experience, after the first initial check engine light I reset my ECU and I haven't had a single light since the initial installation. I've driven roughly 180 miles back and forth to work this week to Nashville.
