sound tube plug?

I tried to search this but couldn't find the right thread. perhaps I didn't search the right words. But anyways, can someone throw me some advice on how to plug up the sound tube so I don't have it routed into the car? Kinda don't want it now with the exhaust screaming at me.

I should've clarified.. What I posted was for people just looking for a easy & 'cheap' way of plugging the sound tube.. I don't think people want to spend too much to simply plug a hole.. Even dynosty's $30 kit is a little steep (compared to a $3 plug) if you only need ONE plug.

I just went full on ghetto and used one of those foam ear plugs:

Squish it up, shove it in the hole and let it expand:

Bought a plastic plug from Home Depot yesterday for $1.71. Fits like it was made for it ^_^

Follow the sound tube from the front to the back where it meets the firewall and pull it out. It's nothing more than a rubber tube that fits in the metal firewall. If you don't care, just let the end that you pull out dangle there. It won't go anywhere. Then use any kind of a plug to put in the hole in the firewall. If you want to "clean it up" completely removed the sound tube in total and put in a larger plug where it first starts out.

I don't think just putting an ear plug in from the cabin side will totally eliminate the excess sound. It will help reduce it but not eliminate it. I would remove the tube from the hole in the firewall.

Used the Perrin Inlet tube to get rid of mine. 100% happy with the results and it is quieter and I wound up with a few more ponies in the process.

There are several sound tube threads on here, but this is the simplest and quickest and more effective. Plus it is completely reversible
