Damn nova drivers...
Good thing you're fine! Wow, FRS is pretty well built for collision like this. I think I saw several cars from Koons Arlington? or Annandale, can't remember well but there should be some waiting for you! Hope everything goes well and recover soon! |

Some insurance companies have a policey for brand new vehicles where if you write off the vehicle within the first 18 months they just buy you a brand new car from the dealer. Do you have this? hopefully your only issue will be finding another FR-S at the dealer. |

Glad you are ok! Being that its still the slow season at dealerships, I would be surprised if you had any issues finding a new car.

For anyone interested in how the car held up, I managed to make it to the junkyard today and get some photos. They're at the end of this album: http://imgur.com/a/FQ0LF

Insurance will buy the whole car and she will not be able to part it out. If she had it towed to her drive way, she may be able to take some stuff out, but the car made it to the junkyard already. It'll only take days before the insurance takes possession of the car.

Probably wouldn't amount to much. Sounds like they have no obvious long term injuries. The lawyer would take a third and then health insurance companies involved would have first dibs on any money left over to pay any health care expenses.

Exactly. As long as his insurance properly compensates me for the car and covers our medical expenses I have no reason to sue the guy. |

Sorry for the double post, but I have a question for people who have been through an accident:
My insurance is offering to take care of the vehicle under my uninsured/underinsured coverage (assess the damage and repair or cut me a check if it's a total loss), and then go after the other guy's insurance company. I'm hesitant to do this because I don't want my rate to go up, and I would have to pay a $250 deductible. They'll waive the deductible if the other insurance accepts fault, which I don't see how they couldn't, but I'm still worried about my rate. Does anyone have any advice or experience with something like this? |
