HAS ANYBODY WAITED 6 MONTHS OR MORE FOR THEIR BRZ/FRS?
I just have to know if anybody in the PNW has waited as long as I have for their BRZ. It has been six months and the dealer and SOA still cannot tell me when my car will arrive.

If you check auto trader it seems like out East there's an overflow of BRZ's as the last time I looked there was a bunch out there for sale. Many of them were not marked up. If a guy was able to plan a couple days vacation to fly out there he could have one real soon.

I put down my deposit at Renton Toyota in the first week of June, car showed up in the middle of July.
I got the FRS, not the BRZ obviously. |

Your best bet is to survey all regional subaru dealerships to see if they're getting one in the setup you want. I'm sure the dealership you went to would like to have your business (hence why they took your deposit), but it's likely that they aren't even 100% positive that they'll be allotted the car you want. They'd likely have to trade with other dealerships when the shipment comes in, but if someone is already lined up at the other dealership, obviously there wouldn't be any trade happening.
to add: I guess you can say the deposit is just a 'place in line' and not necessarily guaranteeing you a specific car. Last edited by m.box.design; 10-04-2012 at 03:17 PM. Reason: add |

4 1/2 months for me. Call SOA with your Order #. I received my shipping notice from them well before the dealership notified me.

No wonder I don't see other 86/brz's on the road yet.
Toyobaru is really milking the demand. I have a feeling they will do the same when the STI version comes out.

6 months guy right here. Ordered April 7th, picked it up October 5th. No deposit. Got MSRP. Put $3k down. Totally worth the wait.

OMG I LOVE CAPS LOCK
Yes, your case is nothing special. I preordered soon after Subaru started accepting them. After over 7 months and no solid ETA I gave up and went with an FR-S. AFAIK the car still hasn't come in at 8 months.
