First, the twins haven't had enough units imported to even have a chance at that list. The total number of FR-Ses imported into the US for the 2013 model YEAR is assumed to be around 16,000. This list is for one MONTH's sales. So you'd have to sell the entire US allotment of FR-S in a single month to just hit 7th or 8th.

And second, the majority of people out there view their cars as appliances and drains on their budgets, or as status symbols that they want other people to see, so they shop accordingly. If you look at the list, every single one of those cars is a practical daily driver (appliance) except for maybe the Prius. While the Prius is practical, the price premium makes them more of a status car..

We will never be on a list like this.

Oh yeah no doubt, I know any sports car will never compete with those cars in sales volume. I just can't believe the list of cars, they all (IMO) aren't worth buying. The Camry sells 66-1 against the BRZ. It's just funny to me. I agree, the automobile is becoming an extension of the living room for most.

You are surprised by the sales numbers? Remember, this is a niche sports car and is being marketed as such. That and the limited supply kept the sales numbers low but even at that both models outsold the Nissan 370Z and the Mazda MX-5.

Also remember, people that enjoy driving are the minority.

difficult to accept,but this is "dead nuts" accurate. people look for lasting value,cheap to keep,and a daily driver that is reliable for the long term. every one of those cars fits that criteria.

this is true,and it's because the f**kin' things are so damn expensive,people HAVE to get as much as they can out of them! cars are incredibly expensive to purchase,run,and insure for many years. ya gotta try to get your money's worth...just sayin'
