don't use the forum's search tool, it sucks. Just search directly from google and look for results from ft86club.com

Have you read that thread? I scanned it and nothing really answered my question.

I'm not really concerned what ppl want on the 2014 model... Just wanna see if anybody has an inside scoop of the release date and/or quantity of BRZs being produced for the US.

Thanks for the search, though.

the search funtion works the way it was designed to. the problem is the person searching.

when you "search" on the forum, it looks for whatever your searching for in all posts of every thread. for instance if you type in "exhaust", every thread will turn up that if "exhaust" was mentioned in a post (now including this thread). thats why the random or off topic threads come up the most b/c people talk about everything in there.

the proper way to search is to go to "advanced search" and search for a specific topic under the title option. type in "exhaust" and every thread that has "exhaust" in the title will show up. the down fall is if that word isnt in the title it wont show up.

another way to search is by person who created the thread. down fall's are remembering who created the thread and you have to know their exact screen name.

last and final option is to go to that section of the forum, click on a sub topic, and skim through all the threads.

I would guess no sooner than May-June but more than likely colser to the end of summer. Back when the 2002 WRX came out, it was introduced in the Spring of 2001 and that model year lasted until July-August 2002 when the 2003's came to the dealerships.

Don't new MY vehicles from most manufacturers start dropping in fall? I figured it'd be the same this time, and a lot of the early year releases are because brand new shiny model to show off for summer.

poeple want 2014. why? because 2014 is new than 2013 and hoping improvements there. (usually yes)
every a year or 2, all cars get improvements. end of 2013, people will talk about 2015 model. and so on and on....

mustangs and other muscle cars are usually april when they start rolling them off the lines. I imagine these would fall into the same category, as people enjoy these cars during the spring/summer months

It's a big fail, it cannot search for an exact phrase even if you use quotes, it just finds all threads with the individual words in it. Many a time I have used the same phrase in Google and have found exactly what I wanted in seconds where the in-forum search failed.

This is not a criticism of this forum in particular - it's true of all forums that use this vBulletin crap as their platform.
