Works wonders. I don't know if it makes them feel like a$$heads, or makes me look like one, but they cut the crap 9 times out of 10.
I do this too.

I'm very seldom the first one off at the light. i'm a motorcycle rider as well, and i always look to the left and right before taking off when the light turns green, and only speed up after i'm through the intersection. i saw an accident happen right in front of me about 15 years ago where someone ran the red and t-boned the first car off the line. that was it for me.

This is very true I see this all the time does not matter the car, most people don't want to drive behind someone even if there already doing 10 over speed limit. As a rule I try to keep it at 10 over and I have assholes always speeding around me just to do the same speed in front of me.

Most drivers are assholes I just mind my own business and enjoy the ride.

A honda appeared with an si red badge; "I cried 'MOGENesusu'"! as he flashed me with HID

Alongside I saw rice stickers and shocker sticker, a ricer Honda Fit with a nicer exaust! Dropped to 3rd, BRZ sounds great at 4000 rpm (the honda sounds kinda poopy like BRAAAAHH"), and went uphill in a spirited manner!

Ok so it wasn't a real race, it was fun and I love the car community.

My favorite encounter thus far was following another SATX owner on the highway while he was in his undercover mustang cop car. A chrysler 300 pulls up next to me revving his engine and I nod yes and feign a take-off. Needless to say my buddy pulled him over moments later for zooming by him.

i constantly get told i drive like a grandpa by friends who ride with me for the first time..i take it as a compliment and tell them in 13 years of driving ive not had a single ticket, or been in any accidents.

I only drive spirited when the conditions are perfect, that rarely happens

The pot will be calling the kettle black when they buy a brand new nearly $30.000 car and they drive it carefully like you are. Just say "Now who's the grandpa driver?"

I feel all Hyundai Drivers are ****holes that drive like maniacs.... I had a G37 try to race me on the GSP and I just threw my hands up and shrugged at him. I ended up passing him later on with my cruise control. I guess he realized he wasted too much gas and had to slow down lol. I do have to say when I see other BR-Z and FR-S Drivers, they honk and wave and mind their business.

I also had a camaro ss tail gate me and pass me on the highway and ended up taking the same exit as me. I don't think he appreciated the 6 inch gap between my front bumper and his rear bumper on the off ramp. He couldn't find the right line, constantly braking and then accelerating to try to get away. It was quite amusing.

So about a month ago I had a SRT8 magnum tailgaiting me for quite some time. Traffic was heavy and we were in the fast lane and I had cars in front of me so its not like I was the slow one.

Anyways after traffic opened up the far left lane and the middle lane still had cars in it but the right lane was wide open, but it was on a really big bend. I put my blinker on to change lanes all the way to the far right and I keep accelerating as I am turning on this bend. The Magnum quickly follows however as i accelerate in the turn I look in my rear view mirror and he spins out does about 3 360s and comes inches from the wall.

I guess thats the last time he tries taking a turn as fast as an FRS...lol..no idea if the car had anything to do with it. The pavement was dry maybe a little salt left on the road but thats about it.

a few years back, when i was driving around in my crappy integra GS (not even VTEC!) on my way up to boston, some guys in a REALLY old civic hatchback from the 1980s? maybe? came up alongside my car (when i was in the right lane) and started honking at me to race them.

i was cruising in 5th at the time, and was planning on ignoring him, but they just wouldn't shut up so i... without downshifting... just started accelerating in 5th. he was barely keeping up ._.

and then we got pulled over. whoops.

funny thing is, we were accelerating SO slowly the cop didn't even realize we were "racing" (we were doing maybe ~90 on a 70 on a straight stretch) and so ticketed us for speeding... lol.

Last edited by jhh3000; 03-22-2013 at 02:03 PM. Reason: forgot how many gears the integra had...

I HATE MUSCLE CARS!!!! I live in texas and there is nothing but redknecks driving deisles with 10" exhausts and camaros who think all there is are straight roads. I love the little 1 lane backroads by house. There usually is never a car within sight behind me w/ my brz. A big reason why i dont want an exhaust. I hate dealing with those idiots.

Sounds like one of my friends. Never stops comment on how he could smoke most of these cars at stop lights in his '02 Firebird (and his Firehawk). But then again, that also sounds like any driver that has that "need for speed".

It gets annoying after a while of nothing but utter non-admittance that there are better cars than those that AREN'T other huge V8 American cars. Makes me sad honestly.
