What are the key differences between Ca-Fi and knockoff? As far as I can tell, the Ca-Fi has a resistive touch screen, support for USB OBD2 and slightly prettier buttons / knobs.
What about the connectivity? Does the knockoff have rear iPhone, USB, Camera, Steering Wheel, etc... inputs? I've noticed that in the "Ca-Fi File Manager" video 2forme is showing some sort of USB hub that seems to be connected from the inside to the head unit. Can this be achieved with the knock-off as well? Cheers! |

Thanks for a prompt reply!
So you connected the head unit's front (mini) USB to the hub? I personally don't like to have cables running around front side of my car's dashboard, but I guess that with some minor hacking I could drive a USB cable thru the inside part of the head unit. |

Ah, that makes much more sense!
I didn't see the "Rear USB" listed in the Connectivity list on eBay (although the eBay page is not really organized that well, I'm guessing there's a lot of features that are not mentioned there)Then the only hack left for me to do will be to convert the Blue LEDs to Orange (to match the rest of my dashboard controls

point of rooting is to add a bluetooth profile allowing the head unit to talk to the bluetooth obd2 adapter. Not sure if you need root to install the CaFi Torque APK's.
