Greddy has a tuner kit for pretty much every other platform, they range from 2800-4000 give or take, I know the market for our cars is crazy, but it's also getting a little competitive for entry level kits, I'd make an educated guess that its no more than $5k for the kit, but I could be wrong. The day they post a price I'll be taking pre-orders, maybe even a group buy if there's enough interest.

This is going to be the kit for me!
Less tourque and hp is hard to justify the cost and loss in engine life.
275hp ratting for this car will make it quite fast!
Ummm, i taste mustang for breakfast ;-)

Mine is a daily driver, 90 miles/day off-hour traffic, 500 mile trips up to the mountains a couple of times a month. May trade-off some of the daily commute with a beater but still going to be putting miles on this car.

Need turn-key and reliability!

Is the Greddy FR-S like this giving up 200k miles??

If I was going FI, this kit would be my pic.

Just simple stuff like the flexi's on the manifold show they are thinking long term.

Great brand, great turbo (not ball bearing so can be rebuilt for naff all)

And, this kit will be for the hardware you need. You sort out the tuning and fueling. Not like all the other kits with included ecu flashes, some of which won't reduce the price if you don't want the flash.

Even the fact that another kit has recently come to market that (IMO) is a direct copy of this kit.

Again, when I was considering FI, this is where I was. I'd used the t518z turbo before and it was amazing. Even when I popped a motor, I had the turbo rebuilt for less than $400.
I was all for the AVO kit, but over time I felt there was too many compromises made. The oil pump for a start is asking for trouble. The piping route and bends they ended up having to use in order to put the turbo where they wanted, and use the stock air box, are not ideal.
The turbo they are using, I have no respect for. Its a cheap turbo.
And, by using that cheap turbo and by mass producing the kit, we were told the price would be low, and I don't believe it is; compared to other kits that either include more product, a better quality turbo, or in most cases, both.

Page 3 has the turbo kit. 280HP and the torque curve looks great too!

I'm gonna guess you're implying about our turbo kit since its the only other one i've seen run the IC pipes both like that. If thats the case sorry to tell you that ive had the pipes like that long before greddy ever released or posted anything. If not then i apologize...

And you don't want flex joints like that on a turbo manifold...atleast not that specific type of bellow...but what do i know

Nice find!

Not cheap, but I'm liking the power delivery.

Hey, maybe you are a guru, maybe you aren't. But implying that you know more than a massive well respected tuner like greddy/trust is a hell of a call to backup.

There are some flex sections that have the innards lined different.
I would not use them, or see the need in this application.
If it was necessary it would be a different bellow altogether.
Anywho, I'm with you all the way.

I've seen real junk exhaust from Greddy/Trust.
Not saying its all cheap shit, but (their) crap shit is defiantly out there.

From the pics I've seen of this kit, and some past product... the pic below comes to mind.
Imagine the remnants of this at 200someMPH slamming into the turbine.
Below is not a greddy product. Just some thought.

But I shouldn't jump to conclusions lets see the production kit execution.

GReddy makes awesome stuff. I ran their TD06 kit on my car for the better part of 5 years. No issues. The only thing i didn't like was the E-Manage piggyback ECU with it.

If the kit is a full turn key kit with ECU and FMIC, guarantee it will be more than $5,000

For quality turn-key that passes emissions and last 150 somewhat thousand miles is worth it. Don't you think?

What's a stock turbo-86 gonna cost from the factory? 8 to 10 grand more than base? Likely bundled with other stuff for $34,200 MT- just sayin.

Im personally looking for quality turn-key! I think many are.

I'm not saying it's not worth it. I would definitely buy GReddy products over most others. I was just stating that I'll bet it will be $5,000+ because there are various people saying it should only be $3,000-$4,000 for the full kit.

The kit I used for my car: TD06 20G for KA24DE is priced at $4,400 right now WITHOUT the front mount. The front mount is an additional $1,100. So $5,500 for a turn-key kit.

I doubt the kit for this car will be any cheaper than that, if so, not by much. But I think it's worth it.
