Maybe I missed it. But have you guys noticed the automatic transmission disengaging at all past the stock rev limiter?

if there was any slippage, the best way to determine that would be to go down to the strip and run 1 run down the track then calculate gear ratio tire diameter rpm when crossing the finish line speed at trap and where the rpm's are supposed to be without slip at that specific trap speed find the difference then calculate for the slip % Quote:
best example right here on the forum FBM 9.5 PSI 307 whp GT28 PTuning 6.2 PSI 298 whp GT30 it "looks" like PTuning did a better job, but in reality... they are moving about the same amount of air because of the different turbo sizes, so they make relatively the same power... EDIT: looking back at it the 521 whp FBM was running a GT35 and the base kit on this automatic is running a GT28.... I think i found out where the 90 whp discrepancy is coming from If im wrong just let me know @FullBlown im just going off the title "base kit" so i assume its the stage 1 kit which comes with the gt28 EDIT EDIT Flow rates GTX2867 51 lb/min GTX35R 71.5 lb/min

I hate to get into dyno debates, but we own both a Dyno dynamics and a Dynojet here. On our Dyno dynamics,I can load the car at 3000rpm and let the boost build and then make my sweep. The boost curve would look totally different from what I could do on our dynojet. Our dynamics can also adjust how much load you can throw at the rollers as well. The turbo's we are using are ball bearing, gt28's aren't available in JB Last edited by FullBlown; 03-19-2013 at 11:47 AM. |

i thought there were design changes with the blades to improve flow?
the X series does flow MUCH better than the GT and T models in all areas of the rpm band, has higher rpm capabilities as well. so FBM yall should just strap a T-100 (180 lb/min) and call it a day

I'd go to SSP and get all their stage 2 auto transmission goodies.

Off their site prices, I could easily buy a manual swap.. It's like 3350$, with out shipping.. Once the prices go down that might be an option, but I know where there is a complete 6spm with drive shaft, CM clutch and flywheel for 1000$ now shipped to my door..
