Their used value appears to have increased markedly lately. And for good reason. They are wonderful cars.

My 2006 red S2000 is the one you want to buy ... but it's not for sale. I still cannot rationalize (as much as I try) spending a $30k premium to trade up from my marvelous S2000 to a Boxster, or +$40k for a Boxster S. I'd much prefer the song of the Porsche flat-six, but not for that premium, not today. I've got less than 11k miles on my garage queen. It's garaged for the winters here in the Midwest.

I'd be inclined to search for a used S2000 rather than a Porsche, were I in the used car market. However... trying to find an S2000 that hasn't been beaten near to death could be a problem, whereas a gently used Porsche would be comparatively easy.

Someday, some lucky soul will be privileged to own my S2000.

Wow. I sold my DD 02 WRX with ~70K miles last summer, which is low for the age, but good god man!

I have concluded that the ONLY used Porsche I would consider will be a certified Porsche used car with their outstanding CPO warranty.

I've never had a 3-digit auto repair bill in my life. I'd really rather not break that record with a HIGH 4-DIGIT bill at the Porsche shop!

The paint is like new, better maybe. No swirls. Looks like a red mirror. We took the plastic off when we bought it new, and did not permit them to touch it, no pre-sale washing or anything. I had them put it up on the rack, and confirmed the spring spacers were removed, and that was it. I checked the fluids and set my tire pressures, and drove home.

Drove it home from the dealership in a light rain. And that's the ONLY time it's been properly rained on! We've raced the storm clouds home on many an occasion on a fun weekend drive, but always managed to just make it into the garage before the heavens opened.

You know, Snoopy, when you get into it with the top up ... it even still SMELLS new, that nice leather smell!

Is that cool, or what?!

I like it. Those wheels are a wee bit large, but that might be a better long term prospect than a used Porsche. That's old enough that if you kept the miles down, you could probably own it for free after resale.

Those white wheels look nice on the silver car.

I bought white wheels for our silver BRZ's winter wheels. We like 'em.

Those wheels look horrendous on that car. Not sure I could afford maintenance on that either...parts have to be hard to find.

One of the best values on the market for a performance wheel. A pity the center caps are not included and cost $25 EACH.

We've got those on our 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 for winter wheels. (Without center caps.)

My wife loves fun cars and has a difficult time keeping any car longer than three years. Our Miata dealer sent us a letter the day after Christmas offering to sell us a new Mazda for $1000 UNDER INVOICE. We thought about that for a few minutes, and drove straight over. Replaced our 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 with the new 2013.
