UK Pound prices seem to match up pretty well with US Dollar prices...as in they don't seem to account for currency conversion.
UK Yaris: 11,170 US Yaris: 14,000 UK Rav4: 22,870 US Rav4: 22,475 If the autocar version was the top of the line with the navi and the TRD then 28,000 isn't too bad IMO. There's at least 4,000 to 5,000 of options that you could strip out. |

I agree, if Toyota put this in the high £20s bracket, then they're going to be shooting themselves in the foot.

They should set base price super low, with no options whatsoever and steel rims.
Then allow customers to select the options they would like. (or can afford)

It said 28k as tested and it seems like the highest trim model with tons of extras. Plus, the UK usually gets a higher price, so a simple conversion to $ doesn't work. I really hope they got the 0-60 all wrong though...
I guess it will only be a matter of time before we get the US pricing |

7.0 sec would be very disappointing. I've hoped for something near 6.3 sec. Actually I've set a limit of 6.5 sec for my next car, because I want a sports car. Even the civic type-r managed to get 6,6 sec with a 200hp 2.0l NA motor, altough it's FWD.

Stop stressing about numbers, this car is about driving and fun, not 0.1 faster to 60mph, nobody cares.
