Small rust spot look a like stain?

On my whiteout FRS, I noticed that there is a bunch of really small stain? that looks like rust about the size of a period on a size 12 Times New Roman font all over my car. They don't feel like any particle, like it's in formed inside the paint or something. I've only own the car for about 3 weeks and have washed it once every week. I just noticed them after the 3rd wash which is today. Is there any way to remove them? I will take pictures of it tomorrow in the afternoon when it's sunny and will also try clay barring them out.

If your car was ever transported on a train it will get rail dust. With time that dust turns to rust and it happens on all cars but is really only noticeable on white cars. Your dealer is very familiar with this happening and has the chemical wash to take care of it. The wash does not harm the paint or any other parts.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but here is a thread explaining something similar.

Should I just take it to the dealer then and ask them about it?

Not the same problem. Those spots I've actually been able to take off easily. For mine, it actually looks like little speckles of rust.

I have them too. They aren't really noticeable so I just ignore them. I have one on my bumper and a couple on the lips of all fender wells. I tried clay and it stayed. Oh well. My car is still sexy and she knows it

Glad to know I'm not the only one with these speckles. For mine, it's pretty noticeable. A bunch of em grouped up near the trunk lid on the rear bumper, some on quarter panels, and some on the doors. Surprisingly I removed some of em buy just using detailing spray + microfiber cloth. The hood, fender, and front bumper looks clean though without any. O.o

weird. I wish mine would come off. Like I said, they are in pretty inconspicuous places on my car, so I just ignore them.

Yeah. I'm going to do claybar tomorrow and if it still doesn't come off, I'm going to bring it to the dealer and see what it actually is. If it actually is rust, it should be covered under the rust-through coverage.

If claying dosen't remove them then a decon product such as Iron-X will remove what I call rust blooms usually seen on white or light colored cars. These spots or on or just below the clear and are not related to rust from the inside out. I stay clear of the dealer unless it's for a recall of some type JMO.

DON'T TAKE IT TO THE DEALER THEY WILL MAKE MORE OF A MESS THAN YOU WANT.

I would try the IronX treatement.

clay can help but sometimes it just sheers off the iron, and some remains in the paint, so the yellow speckle will come back until you get it all.

Cheers,
GREG

Dealer didn't even take care of it. They wanted to charge me for clay barring the car to get rid of it.

Claying actually got rid of the rust blooms.

I would be all over corporate on that one. Removing rail rust is nothing more than PDI work preparing the car for delivery. It doesn't require clay bar work. As I said earlier in this thread, they have a mild acid wash that is not harmful to the finish and takes about as long as washing a car.

According to the service guys, it's my responsibility to clean the car as its something that happens from being near trains/rail road. And that since I haven't noticed it til last Friday and had the car washed and it wasn't there before.
