Haha I'm just messing. For the money and small gain, I would do it.

I went with the perrin inlet tube + k&N filter. I cant really tell you about the butt dyno, But i love my set up because it cleans up the engine bay and deleted the Sound generator.

I may get the Perrin CAI in the future, But im not a fan on the two piece design, where they use the perrin silicone inlet tube to connect the CAI. It isn't cosmetically appealing to me and not to mention its another 280 for it.

That's what I figured. It seems the only purpose for an intake swap would be for the look or possible sound.

If you go with Perrin or injen you will defiantly notice a big difference in the sound my injen is really loud but it has a nice deep tone. The Perrin also puts out some serious noise but I don't think it sounds as nice as the injen but I'm partial because I own the injen.

I'm waiting on my FA20club CAI and FA20 stg 2 tune to come. If I decided not get an ECU tune I would have bought the Cosworth drop in and be done with it. I liked the FA20club CAI because it didn't have many bends and was in the same position as the stock snorkel. It isn't as pretty as the Perrin but it was significantly cheaper. I care more about the function than looks anyway. I don't drive around with the hood up. I'm expecting noticible gains with just these two upgrades.

I will second this. The Injen is VERY loud and I love mine!

As has been repeatedly beaten into the ground by some folks that live in warmer climates, the primary difference with the Injen and Perrin CAI is that the Injen (along with most others) is a short ram while the Perrin and stock airboxes are true CAIs.

And even though I went with the Injen I am the first to admit that the Perrin CAI is a "better" intake for the following reasons.
- Two piece design makes it the most flexible for people.
- A TRUE Cold Air intake.
- Has most potential for gains.

Why I DIDN'T buy the Perrin CAI.
- Combined cost of the silicone tube + CAI was just too much.
- No offering of polished aluminum.
- Have zero desire to remove my bumper to install an intake or when I take the car in for service. Maybe one day, but not now.

People have their own reasons for buying what they do but these were my honest ones.

Scott

I just checked out their intake and I liked what I seen. So much so that it may have changed my mind. The Perrin CAI and Inlet Tube combined costs $407 while you can get the FA20 Club CAI for $245 then get a Stage 2 ECUTEK tune for $300 so overall $550 for the 2. Much cheaper and has dyno results behind them then paying over $700 for the Perrin setup combined with a Tune.

I picked up the HKS Premium Suction because it keeps the sound generator, it comes with a nice foam drop in filter for the factory airbox which retains my air straightners, it's throaty and not obscene. As far as interior cabin noise it change in frequency but not levels.

I bought the whole tune package (cable, tune and license) so it costs me $850 total. They had a coupon code to recieve $50 off when you order two parts. You'll have to call and ask to see if it is still offered.

I have the Injen and at times, I feel that I have reduced power after sitting at idle. On the highway with air rushing into the engine bay, though, I feel like it's a bit faster than stock. If it matters, I also have the Invidia N1 exhaust and catless frontpipe(Loud!). If I could go back in time and get something else, I would either get a drop-in or a true CAI.

I'm still waiting on my intake and Ecutek tune to come in! Then I'll install those plus a full headerback system from Perrin!

I have the injen intake, and i've been experiencing idle issues but after ive put 91 octane in the car it seem so to run a lot better..

I've been thinking of getting the Perrin CAI instead of keeping the INJEN due to these issues i've been having but we'll see..
I wonder Dyno INJEN vs Perrin CAI.
