He still has a little bit to go to be making the most I know Perrin has more and so do I. I do wish I could get the supercharger he has looking forward to see what comes now. I pick up about 15hp and 10tq from adding bigger fuel injectors and fuel pump.

What were your max numbers in 93 and E85?

He stated that he was having issues with the 9psi pulley. Most people get 275 ish out of the stock fuel system on a TC, so 30 whp of parasitic drag isn't out of the realm of possibility.

See post #5 for my complete mod list

Secondly, this kit is technically sold with a 6psi pulley, unless you raise the rev limit. So people shouldn't expect 239/200 from a stg1 kit. Just wanted to clarify. You have made this clear as have I! Thanks!

Third, Scottsdale is 1250 ft above sea level.
Really? Please tell me the next time youre here I will calibrate my alitimeter in front of you, promise. See picture attached to verify my location, and the airports altitude. I was a few hundred feet from scottsdale airport, which both according to my personal altimeter(will snap a pic next time I am in scottsdale) and the airports posted sign read 1500feet. when ya coming to az? Beer is on me! heck, 2forU

If I were you, I'd slap the 10psi pulley, pull back the higher RPM timing and enjoy a really nice, flat torque curve.
NAh, thats too simple, not that me or anyone would be anything less than ecstatic to have the easy of install, simplicity of systems, and heat immunity I am seeing(PHX was 93F according to my dash so heattesting is under way) not as much fun as testing the wastegated options, and higher boost, like 12 and 14psi that tapers off before redline, that may be a neat curve to play with!
Responses in red
Man, you crack me up, starting to like your tendency to verify, youre ALOT like me! I test alot for my own benefit, not the manufacturers, but yeah we all benefit in the end

I will keep you posted of my dyno @ 12 psi and above! I plan to see what else there is on the table to play with, not done yet.

I woke up early today and wanted to address the problems I am seeing with heat off the oil cooler affecting IAT and ultimately power output. I dyno'd less after I took car off dyno, drove it hard, got it hot, and retested.

tests were done both with the oil cooler shrouded in two layers of cardboard as well as with full flow, no cardboard and IAT suffered considerably.

This dyno time and testing is out of my own pocket, so some of it is just because I'm a stickler for getting it right, and if its not right I am not done.
Wil post a picture of my new, albeit temporary oil cooler relocation. Another test item on my list, to see if oil flow and pressure work out ok with it being where it is, after a few test drives I will posta picture of that too, incase you want to copy it, makes for a cooler FMIC= more power, dyno proven, run for run, hot I couldnt exceed 237HP after several attempts.

Why would IAT be affected by the oil cooler? The sensor sits in the front bumper below the passenger side headlight. Unless your oil cooler sits in front of the IC, then yes, blocking that off will cause a rise in IATs

And I wasn't sure of the exact location of the shop. It is indeed 1464 ft above sea level, however most of Scottsdale is 1200-1300.

I'll be extremely surprised if that's the IAT sensor and not ambient air sensor.

The IAT is in the Mass Air Flow sensor which is relocated to the front bumper below the passenger side head light on this kit.

Having the oil cooler infront of the FMIC --->makes the FMIC hot which---> makes IAT hot, simple!

here is the new location: there will be some strap steel welded or clamped to the OE support bars to support the front end of oil cooler and bear most of the load

also I bent the hood support a hair an now clears the camber plate fantastically

ok folks, off to Tucson, ttys!

Thanks for clarifying, some people may have gotten confused with the other sensor down there!

LOL that's what I said at the end of my quote. That being said, I'll take cool oil over 5 degrees of IAT anyday. Your setup wouldn't work for me as I have the AOS.

Have you cut a hole in the hood for air to actually pass through that oil cooler, or do you have the rear of the hood raised to allow air to escape? Otherwise it's just a heatsink..
