The wire on mine got damaged somewhere along the way, my dealer ordered me a new one under warranty though they have been good about not questioning anything so far.

I suspect this happened to mine as well. I don't think the unit was physically damaged (maybe some sort of electronic short?), but a little while after the tint was done I noticed it didn't light up anymore even though it was connected. Dealer was also reasonable about replacing it since there didn't appear to be anything physically wrong with it.

yea i'm definitely gonna redo the tint on the back window as well. besides that big cut out, there were large bubbles as well. i'm definitely gonna make sure the next place i go to won't do the same third brake lamp cutout.

They are ordering replacement parts to fix for free, but be wary of aftermarket tint dealers that will try to deny if they break it.
Just an honest question here, but you do know that the top of the brake light snap off, don't you? If you lift slightly on the seam in the middle and pull towards the front of the car the two halves will separate. It looks to me like it is just not lined up properly, try pulling it apart and putting it back together.

Is it PITA to remove the rear shelf? The shop I have taken all my cars to did mine today and showed me that they had some bubbles around the light where they could not squeegee.

They were worried about breaking it and said if I removed the light and brought it back they would redo it for me.

LOL at the square on your guys rear windows. I had my car done by some random tint guy and I guess he was even able to outsmart Toyota because I don't have anything like that.

The guy that I used had it off in a couple of minutes, if I remember correctly it was just held in by plastic clips.
