You need to request this when you submit a support ticket - it isn't automatically included in your maps.

Welcome Rich and good too see you has some much needed support - at times he has been swamped over the last few months and he has done well to keep it together!

Map 1 - Tune + Stock Rev Limiter
Map 2 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control + Flat Foot Shifting
Map 3 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control + Flat Foot Shifting + RaceRom Traction Control
Map 4 - Tune + 8000RPM Rev Limiter in 2nd Gear + Launch Control + Flat Foot Shifting + More Agreesive RaceRom Traction Control
Does anything need to be done to use RaceRom Traction Control? Such as, does the standard TC need to be turned off?

Yes, standard TC needs to be disabled, otherwise it will kick in before RR TC ever has a chance to.

Absolutely, that's why I'm here . I think everyone will agree that we'd all prefer Visconti focusing his time and energy on making better tunes and doing what he does best. But for all of those concerned that "someone new" will be making the maps or adjustments for your cars, rest assured, Visconti will still be 100% responsible for continuing to create and update the tunes that have given him such a good reputation!

Now that I'm here to help answer questions, expand relationships, and keep everyone up-to-date on our new projects, Visconti can spend more time where he belongs; behind the wheel, getting the most out of these engines! Our aim is and always will be, to provide the absolute best product on the market and we look forward to sharing exciting new developments with everyone in the coming months.

Welcome aboard Rich - glad to see some extra help @ Visconti. I think we can all agree that John has a crapton on his plate - it'll be good to have someone around to field the "front office" so he can focus on the goods!

That said, could you provide some updates on what changed with version 1.10? The release notes on the support desk site are 3 months old.

Also, if I might make a suggestion - any chance you could do an e-mail blast whenever an update is available so that customers know that they should submit a ticket if they want the update? I suppose we can forgo this if the release notes could be used as a reference point, but since that isn't up to date, unless someone happened to be following every post of John's, they may not realize that they are several versions behind.

In an ideal world, you guys could push the updates out to all the customers when a new version is ready for production, but I understand that there is a lot of manual effort involved in producing each file.

Thanks again, and good luck with the new role!

I don't want to give away too much information (because we're really excited about what the future has in store), but this is precisely one of the challenges we will be tackling in the near future so that all of our customers are kept up-to-date on new releases, new features, and new projects. Stay tuned!

With regard to the changes in revision 1.10, I will post the details as soon as I'm able (boarding my flight at the moment).

Welcome Rich! Very glad you are here. I know John has been busy with many things. One that I haven't heard much about lately is the Flex-fuel kit. I would probably buy this as soon as it became available. Do you have any information on it? Thanks!

I will need to submit a request for this tune ASAP. I am running a much older tune that still has auto blip and other features.

oh, and welcome to the boards and look forward to working with ya!

Thanks for the welcome! Auto blip is no longer standard in our maps due to safety concerns. John has gone over this a few times before on his main thread.

Are you able to elaborate on the Traction Control a little? What makes it better than the factory traction control?

It's still currently a work in progress but it's an expensive upgrade. The main reason everyone wants the flex fuel kit is because currently, the car does not remember which map it's on after the ignition has been cycled (reverting to map 1). The flex fuel kit solves this problem by adjusting the tune to the mix in the tank. However, John has come up with a new map switch that is less expensive than the flex fuel kit and will meet the needs of the majority of the people waiting for this feature.

Visconti Tuning will always be working to offer our customers the best bang for their buck, and the new system we're working on will offer the same capabilities but at a much more reasonable price. We'll keep everyone posted on its availability.
