Love my Perrin Silicone inlet tube and Perrin drop in filter + tune. Makes a nice noise past 4k RPMS with the resonators deleted out of the stock airbox. I'll pass on a CAI. Sounds to Rice to me.

I guess I'm just "old school". Intake used to mean intake manifold, the part between the carb(or throttle body) and the head(s). You could get some real gains with aftermarket intake manifolds. I'd be curious to see what a real aftermarket intake manifold could do for these motors.

Not confused.... I just didn't word it very well. I meant that neither were restrictive, as they are both similar size, but I wanted one that kept the noise pipe. Even with the fancy bend the differences will be minimal.

no issues. no regrets. no difference in torque dip...it was still located in the same spot. It smoothed out once I upgraded exhaust and front pipe.

It sounded great with just the intake and stock exhaust and noticeable difference in breathability.

Looks nice! Can you really feel the benefit with the Perrin? I mean we said the same thing with Airaid and look how that turned out.

To be honest when I press the accelerator it pulls a little more then the airaid. When I'm speeding and I want to redline it, that's where the power really kicks in around 5000-6500 rpm. Not like turbo kick, but you feel it and hear it!!!

I've had both...the Perrin is completely different animal. The Airaid was laggy and had terrible throttle response.

The Perrin is loud, sounds awesome, has great throttle response and no lag.

I just wanna know of a 40.00 drop in filter is worth anything. As seeing how the reviews on the a/m intake systems are up and down.
