I wonder how much power the Vortech made before the parasitic drag losses. What I mean is how much power it takes to drive a supper charger like the Vortech? With a turbo, the propeller spins freely when the exhaust gases blows on it. An SC with all of its gearing and belt tension and oil drags and weights of the mechanical components must be taxing significant horsepower from the engine to spin the propeller. I like supper charging, just a curious question.

I'm not too familiar with supper charging, I didn't know a late evening meal improved power. hahaha

I would like to add an update to this system. This has a lot to due, I believe with the tune so maybe John will chime in if he's following this thread.

The car has picked up some response over the last week. It now responds, Like I would had imagined it would. It also has a lot more power down low. This I think has to due with the advanced Timing map. It felt like the timing map was very conservative thats why the motor felt so lazy and restricted it now has much more power and a lot better response.

It actually has some real pull to it now when entering freeway on ramps ect.

I'm not really sure what you mean.

The log file you sent to me looks normal and I haven't made any revisions.

Sounds like the cams were OFF on the first drive

That may be about the cams, I really didn't look at the logs maybe I'll check the cam phasing verus now. The motor does feel more lively for one reason or another. Is this common with ECUTEK?

One other question what is the second map for on my map select?

What is meant by ''the cams were off''. Is this an ECU learning thing?

That sounds like the same experience I had with Perrin's 93 tune, according to the ole butt dyno it picked up power for several days after the flash. That's also why I want to dyno this kit again sometime to see if it picked up power. I have definitely noticed the 'dead pedal' feel I get after any ECU flash is gone now.
