I got out of bed late, fed the dog, had a smoke, and played some more farcry 3. Already beaten it, so playing on Warrior difficulty with lots of fire.

I took today off to, weird. I played with the kids for a while before we took them to daycare, then I drove two hours to pick up the new beater.

woo hoo. Another Neon. This time it's a 2003 with 116000 km's ~= 70,000 miles. It drives well, has little rust compared to other things I've looked at, has ac, pw, pl, cruise, and was undercoated which makes it noticeably quieter. I paid $3000, including taxes, registration, inspection, a new wheel bearing, and a transmission fluid change. All in all it does what I need it to. I drove it two hours home and it feels confident and free of rattles and bangs.

This is the forth Neon I've owned now. I feel like I'm being typecast but they are very reliable ever since 97 when Dodge went to a MLS headgasket and they're easy to work on. meh I'll get something nicer when I pay off the Scion.

When are we going to move away from DLS. I don't understand why, in this society, we would want to move things to give more day light in the morning. Who cares if you're driving to work in the dark, I'd like to be able to go outside after work.
