If you have low income you shouldn't take out a 17k car loan. It won't be worth it, just save apply for a credit card. Once you start building credit you shouldn't have any problem with like a 10k loan tops, I wouldn't go higher than that.

Have a date tonight with a guy I sorta kinda like... I always get super nervous/quiet when I'm around someone I like(which is rare) so hopefully it goes well. I still barely know him so it's too soon to say

Good luck. Chances are you are both in the same boat you know. Do many folks date others that they don't "kinda like"? I mean I know its been a while since I dated, but has it really changed to the point where folks go out with people they don't like?

The low income is . It's barely off the banks' "recommended" income levels but the state of Kentucky has a really low cost of living. I'm going to try a higher down payment if I can't find a co-signer.

What sucks the most is we wouldn't be having this problem if they had applied before the recession hit here. My parents were making closer to $40-$45k 2 maybe 3 years ago.
