Gays like cars too! I recall reading a while back that the Evo and STi were high on the list of favorite cars on gaywheels.com, an LGBT car buying site. I reckon these cars are high up there, too. Doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is, a fun car is a fun car!

I believe you are on the wrong forum.

It went way further than I expected or wanted and wasn't even posted by me but by my best friend that's gay after I told him the story. He didn't believe me that car people don't care and thought they would say something to him. I told him he is not the only one out there and no one would have a problem with it or even say anything. He has a rainbow sticker and tattoo so he really can't hide it and shouldn't need to. I showed him all of the responses and he is going to take his new cts-v to the next autocross with me. Thank all of you for your responses it has shown him that sports cars are about the cars not the drivers personal life.

Anyone who thinks there won't be a lot of homophobes on the forum is dead wrong. For example I am not a hater but definitely phobic to some extent. And I work in an office where they are more than just phobic. The bosses favourite sales guy started a trend where he started muttering "queer" any time he got off an ineffective sales call. And because of the pathetic culture in our company everyone started mimicking it. Then again the boss feeds this guy tons of sales and then starve people that don't kiss his ass. You get especially punished by a mysterious lack of valuable sales leads if you don't follow whatever the bosses favorite does.

And of course the bosses father created this money making machine for him.

There is no reason a gay person should be judged any different regarding employment opportunities but in my office of 80 people god help anyone who is discovered to be different.

Many openly gay people deserve respect at least for having the "balls" to be proud of who they are.

One of my best friends is gay. He's owned american, european and japanese sports cars. He road raced for several years. I won't claim to understand how they feel inside about not being able to be open with people, but I can say that none of my straight (presumably) car friends ever held any negative feelings towards him because of it.
