These cars should have been available in yellow.

White is the most ticketed color in the US. It is also the most bought/sold color. - For all cars, trucks, etc..

As stated, keeping white clean is a myth perpetrated by the SWP lobby.

There's the aforementioned bird poop and road tar. SWP does hide it a bit more than say an alpine white or grand prix white, but all SWP does is turn more brown.

Black is a bit harder because of the swirls and how hard it is to keep a good shine.

Oh and white also hides hard water pretty well.

When light is reflected off the white surface you are seeing all the colours of the visible spectrum combined. Therefore, white is the absence of colour, yet contains all the colours we perceive. We can conclude that my car is rainbow coloured with unicorns farts coming out the exhaust.

Yellow and green are the two colors that are missing in this car, metallic or not.

I agree that silver is the most forgiving color, but after 13 years with a silver car I need a change...so I'm switching to white.

I don't think it's a question whether white is easy to keep clean or not. It's as difficult as any other color to keep clean. The thing with white is it tricks the eye when it's uniformly dirty (or even close to). You don't actually realize how gunked up a white car is till you clean even a small section.

My last car was black. Never again. NEVER. My other car is a bland bluish silver and I get lazy about washing it because I never notice a difference before and after.

I've heard this a million and one times and always thought one thing. "What does it matter?" Aside from the door handle, you're not touching the paint nonetheless laying on it bareback. Isn't the interior color more relevant here? If so I'm glad my car has red stitching, black stitching would have made it 0.00000000000000000000000000000000001 degree hotter in there.

Half right. White just means that all the colors are being reflected, NOT an absence of color, as with black, where the light is largely being absorbed. Part of the reason that black cars are hotter in the sunlight.

My GTI is silverstone grey and doesn't look too bad after months of filthiness. My dad's black 135 looks filthy within ten minutes of being washed. Hope this helps.

Buying white, black, or silver means you're a lemming =P. j/k j/k but seriously theres a lot of these colors on the road. Might as well pick something to stand out amongst the crowd.
