Sometimes I'll joke to my parents that I'll throw them in a home if they begin to annoy me. Of course though I could never do that to them.

Yeah, I've heard a few stories about military doctors. Mostly how rude they were, complete lack of bedside manners, and propensity to prescribe painkillers for everything.

Nothing wrong with that. I went to college in a podunk county and the hospital ER was infamous for providing painkillers and morphine drips for everything.

It the same thing with values and virtues, everyone has values but no one has virtues. We’re starting to become too self-dependent and not helping other people out, if everyone went for their own self-interests then dare I say mankind wouldn't exist right now. It’s the virtues of humans that made/makes mankind so great and which allows progress and advancement.

I'm not saying YOU should quit your job and do one to help everyday people, but its more so the mind set of it that changes and affects people.

I'm not saying you’re a bad person or not a helpful person but telling someone to go help themselves first sounds a bit wrong to me.

I didn't tell her to help herself first, I told her she needs to help herself TOO.

so it has been 8 days since the accident, and if anything my back has become more painful. making a doc appointment today, for whenever they're available. i really hope that it's still soreness from the accident, but i doubt it.

I've been in couple of accidents but somehow find that I just bounce right back. I don't know how and why but I seem to heal quite well for some reason. (knock of wood)

But the back is so hard to regain full recovery or even manage it from an accident. So I wish you well on that man.

And has anyone seen this yet?

I get busy for a day or three and come back....and I don't even know where this thread is right now. lol

goose. get checked. I hate you're having to deal with that, hopefully it all ends up alright though.

accountants....kinda like software development. salaries go from crap to crazy.

I get my kicks from the people I work with, I semi-enjoy software but I certainly prefer working on my own schedule...not being locked down from 9-5.

Also gave a few job offers today, hopefully we'll make someone's day.
