Trust me, the euro and jdm cars rust just as bad. My first ae86 was a rotbox. My second is in better condition. To keep it that way i undercoated the car this summer with 2 coats of anti-rust paint and 2 coats of undersealing.

I will second this!

I spent 5 1/2 years living near the south-eastern Japanese coast outside of Hiroshima and I will tell you that ocean air rots cars just as fast over there as over here.

You want to find mint old cars, go to Arizona or New Mexico!

I've owned two. The first was an all original 87 gts coupe I bought from a guy after he left it stranded on the hwy, which I recently sold, but I had some fun with it first.

The second is an 87 gts swapped sr5 coupe. I tried to keep with the 4ac for killer mpg, but it started knocking and I had all the gts junk laying around.

Ill have better pictures of the gtsr5 soon.
