Any previous/current owners of AE86?

I've had 2 AE86s in the past. My first one was a red 1987 GT-S lift back, a rust bucket. The below was my second silver 1985 GT-S lift back (slightly modified). I had 1 rust spot on the rear passenger side fender and a tear on my driver side seat bolster. Other than that the Silver AE86 was very clean.

Modifications of the silver car:

Tokico blue adjustable shocks front and rear with Eibach pro kit springs.
Falken Azenis tires.
K&N cone intake.
HKS sports exhaust.
Momo steering wheel.
Hella headlights.
T3 short shifter kit.
CD player lol.

Sold the car a long time ago (got all my invested money back).

That's a great looking 86. The backseats look minty. I can imagine in 25 years time, most FR-S/BRZ rear seats are going to look that minty as well.

Woha that was a clean one! Got 2, my first one was a 1986 Corolla GT-S 2 door, a rust bucket really. My second one was a mint Corolla SR5 1986. Sadly it was auto, my goal was to swap this GT-S shit on the SR5 but both of their engine blow up in the same months. And I was 16... not the best idea i've got in my life but I still have plenty of fun with them!

1985 AE86 Liftback Owner Here!

Hi, Hanzo. Pleased to "meet you". Brand-new member of ft86club.com. I've been an 1985 AE86 Liftback owner since May 29, 1985. Photos of my baby here. http://1985ae86hatchback.blogspot.com. We've been in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA for over two (2) decades now. Beautiful specimen you've got there.

I had a POS AE86 first, got rid of that, and had this one after that. I still wish I didn't sell her.

I did the Levin conversion after I had a little boo boo with the front end.

I still wish I had this car, however, the FRS will do for now.

Damn, that looks really clean. :w00t:

my old 86 several years ago, I definitely miss it and I regret ever getting rid of it, although the FR-S has filled that void quite nicely, giving me that same feeling of enjoyment that I thought was long gone.

I have had a few, and I can give you plenty of stupid reasons why I sold each of them.

I've never owned one myself, but I helped a friend track down, purchase, and restore a GT-S a few years back. Drove it a couple of times, and my god that car was a blast!

It's an overused expression, but they really don't make them like that anymore. As much as I love my FR-S, the day somebody puts a high-reving RWD hatchback on sale in America again, I'm trading up (down? sideways? ...I'm trading my car in).

^Really? I think the FRS is about the closest to the feeling I got when driving my cars, well except I know it will start and run every time I need it to.

Yeah, but I got a weakness for hatchbacks. :bonk:

I never owned one but my brother does. He's had it for years and has put a lot into it.
