If we get 100,000 signatures we could get the White House to make a statement about it.....

Good find - I didnt dig that far to find it.

Hopefully this will relieve anyone's anxieties regarding their payments.

The guy seems to be alright. I wouldn't sweat it guys. The thing that bugs me about this armrest is:
1. It's coming from CheapToyotaParts.whatevs
2. It's a UK part?
3. It's built in Czech Republic?
4. It's not really color matched to the interior plastic.

Mehbeh this will prompt one of the other Toyota arms to produce one?

I am hoping the color would be corrected by just cleaning the existing plastic,.. JPIT's may have just been dirty, i.e. .. some ol Armor All may be all is needed..

1. CTP is a vendor over here that sells OEM parts cheaper than Toyota dealers do.
2. Nope - This is a worldwide Toyota part LHD and RHD versions available.
3. No idea, but if the US dealers start selling OEM armrests, these will be them.
4. Should be, it's a Toyota authorised part.

This is genuine and Chris (CTP) admitted he never thought he'd get all these orders especially wordwide. Toyota still haven't announced their worldwide allocations hence waiting for stock.

For those that have bought them, fear not :happy0180:

According to Scion USA, TRDSparks, SubaruParts, and some other places that sell parts for these cars there is not now nor will there ever be a possibility of ever releasing or experimenting with an armrest for our car. Canada is the best we could possibly hope for.. In a future version I would assume Subaru would produce an armrest but there is no guarantee that it would fit our year version of the car.

Jpit's car was freaking extremely filthy. He said he drives around with his dog and has some heavy canvas draped over his passenger seat so I wouldn't be concerned with color until I see it on another car.

JPit did not have vendor status and I believe was banned for running a group buy without being a sponsor; some Moderator/Op can confirm.

I have emailed JPit and he has indicated that the group buy will go on, and we can follow the status from the link others have posted already. (http://www.gt86ownersclub.co.uk/foru...211.html#40211)

Makes it a tad more inconvenient; but hopefully we will receive our armrests soon.

I'm just gonna lean back and sit this one out. I really like the armrest a lot but it's still not quite 100% for me.

So let me get this straight: he was able to initialize and complete a group buy before the mods found out and banned him? Brilliant.

This is one of those instances where I feel that there should be an option to pay a percentage of profit or request a waiver, rather than an outright monthly fee to become a vendor. Sometimes the profit margin just isn't enough to justify vendor status. If you sell 10 of these and make $5 off each one, you still haven't made enough to become a vendor for that month.

How are we gonna get these now? Is it a U.S. Toyota compatible part number yet?

As I understand, he was not making any money off of this, in fact i recall him saying he was in the negative...
