That way you can see it isn't that much of a difference, but enough to skew the numbers ever so slightly, possibly to sway an opinion one way or the other. Aside from the larger and heavier wheels that were on the car, I also noted based on the logs that the quality of gas wasn't as seemingly as good as we might have hoped but in anycase, this would be pretty representative of the 8 PSI requirement now set forth by the SC contenders...

And just for giggles, here's a dyno run from a DynaPack dyno (reads at the hubs) from a HKS SC Kit (Version 1 I'm told) @ 8 PSI as well... 230 WHP @ the hubs...

More to come, as always.

Cheers!

Are these tunes on a AT or M/T transmission?

Haven't really seen it listed but what's the MSRP target for this one? This is shaping-up to be the kit to get!

On a M/T for the stage 2 chart so far, but looks like we'll have A/T charts up soon.

Roughly looking at a target of 5800.00, that's the Stage 1 + the Stage 2 components (MAP sensor, 7psi Actuator, Cross-Over Pipe, High-flow Front Pipe, Stage 2 Base Map).

We do concurrent testing with both, since a majority of the GT86 platform is built in AT configs from my understanding... In any case, know that there's much, more... room.

Cheers!

I still can't see the reasoning for having to buy stage 1 (with tune and 5psi actuator) and then buy stage 2 (with tune and 7 psi actuator) if you just want to go straight to stage 2.
You're duplicating tunes and parts and have to switch out the actuator after you buy it. Can't you just sell a stage 2 kit with a 7psi actuator and stage 2 tune only?

NO! They do sell the Stage 2 kit complete. It just includes most of the Stage one hardware, with a few upgrades and a few extra pieces.
All for some wheres around 5 to 6 k.

I have a deposit on a complete stage TWO kit.

Some people won't have the luxury of going to Stage 2. Because of laws and restrictions on what they can do with their car, be it CA or in other countries, plus limitations in tuners locally, Stage 2 might not be an option for them as such.

Stage 2 would also require additional sensors, calibration and an uprated actuator, to say nothing of the necessary exhaust components, and at which time, might not be something that the casual enthusiast who's looking for a bit more power wants to spend the additional $2k on.

I'm with you however, being practical - you might as well go for it all when the time comes...

My 2 cents.

Stage 2 will be offered as a complete package, as well as an upgrade from Stage 1. We are simply still finishing up road tuning/testing, drivability testing, and seeing what areas we can improve.

It's a plain fact that many of the customers with stage 1, or getting stage 1, already have a header back exhaust. So we need to make allowances for those setups as well.

Perfect! I agree there needs to be a stage 1 as well as a kit to upgrade stage 1 to stage 2, but until now heard no mention of a stage 2 only kit. Didn't make sense to have to buy a stage 1 and the upgrade kit if you just wanted to go straight to stage 2.
