Stanced cars are pretty cool. I'd never own one, but I've got some respect for the people who can drive them everyday. But donks... That is just ghetto trash shit in my area.

Maybe you can explain what you mean.. A car that in the video above you has to have boards and shit to do anything, compared to a donk that can be daily driven no problem.. Or do you mean the people that own them.. Because I can see what you mean there, but that doesn't apply to all of them.. Just as we can't all be classified as ricers..

I live pretty close to some very poor areas... Every time I see a donk it is like a 80s Buick or something similar with more rust than metal and wheels/tires that easily cost two to three times what the entire car is worth. Typically driven by some shady people who look like they deal drugs. Not only that, but have you ever been stuck behind a donked Buick trying to drive up a steep hill? The wheels are so big and heavy that you can smell the tired engine burning fuel and oil. It's just nasty.

I like the look of slammed cars. But it just isn't practical. I couldn't do it, but if you have the patience to drive a car like that, props to you. Normally the ones I see are Honda Civics, Acura Integras, Mazda Miatas, or Nissan 240s. I guess I'm just more partial to tuner cars, but for some reason I think a 1,000 dollar dropped Civic is a thousand times more classy than a raised up 1,000 dollar Buick Regal on 24s.

Idk dude, they both are complete shit both have their super downfalls. Slammed cars screw up the undercarriage, suspension and body plus handle like ass. Donked cars, make brakes hate their life, and screw up the suspension and body.

So really, both are ghetto trash, people just think a slammed car called somthing else is "hip" when really they are idiots. Im not talking about functional cars lowered via air or hydros either.

That gold Camaro...jeezus, I want to gouge my eyes out...

All of the owners of the cars pictured on Page 4 are exactly why I wish places would offer free sterilization to those interested...

I'm not following your logic here. The ZL1 is a great car and is offered in a MT. I fail to see how it isn't an "enthusiasts car" because it's offered with an auto, if that's really what you're implying. And to be fair here, an auto is the superior choice for the drag strip, which is where most ZL1s will be spending their time. I'd also be remissed not to remind you that your FRS/BRZ is also offered in an automatic flavor as well.

I'm beating the horse to death here. But you can't have an enthusiast's performance sedan without a manual transmission, I don't care how you cut it.
I guess someone forgot to tell BMW that with the new M5, which is recognized as one of the gold standards for performance sedans. Like it or not, outside of the US, autos and dual clutches are the wave of the future because most enthusiasts recognize that a dual clutch is superior to a MT, so again I fail to see your point. Porsche is investigating ditching the MT all together and I don't think anyone here would argue that Porsche (or BMW for that matter) doesn't build "enthusiasts' cars".

Sorry, the notion that enthusiasts only drive MTs is.......antiquated.

Oddly enough I think the perfect classy solution is somewhere in the middle of these two...oh wait...

IMO, the notion that an enthusiast sticks specifically to one transmission is ignorant. If you have to have one and flame the other you're not an enthusiast, you're a zealot. Absolutely someone can have a preference, but let people drive what they paid for and want to drive..

That's exactly my point. It's rather ignorant to sit here and pontificate that 'only true enthusiasts drive MTs" when as I pointed out, some of the best, most enthusiast oriented cars built these days are equipped with only ATs or dual clutches.

I hope this car is just as fun if not more fun to drive as the G8 GT was. As long as its American though, I will not be buying one. US companies have come a long way but they still have a long way to go.
