BRZ vs Chevy SS

That's right, its here!

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...ytona-500.html

Should be around 30K

Corvette motor
Plush interior
17/27 MPG
Faster than a Mustang Camaro or Charger
Regular fuel
Carries 3 dead people in the trunk and 3 larger football players in the rear seats
Handles like a charm
more quite than a BMW 335

Glove box
Center console
Excellent head rest
On Star Navigation
Blue Tooth
Adjustable power seats

The list goes on and on...

I can not reveal how I know these facts.

So much more than a BRZ

MVJ1975 06-22-2012 12:20 AM

That car sounds about as exciting as watching a PGA match on your iPad while attending a Kenny G concert.

Why would anyone compare that to a small coupe?

Razz 06-22-2012 12:21 AM

Why not?

Ever other vehicle is listed, even an X box

SUB-FT86 06-22-2012 12:22 AM

Is this thread for real? I feel this thread is a prank.

MVJ1975 06-22-2012 12:23 AM

I'm waiting for BRZ vs. M1A1.

BRZ doesn't have coax and 120mm cannon, BRZ fail...

KaliKev 06-22-2012 12:23 AM

Seriously? A Chevy? Family has owned two of them, never again.

Pre judgement.
None of you even opened up the link and read it.

Shows how ignorant you guys are.

I don't understand how a big V8 full sedan has any comparison to a 2 door 4 cylinder coupe...besides both are rwd...

The front does remind me of a rebadge TSX...

I did. Wasn't even slightly interested.

I wasn't interested in the Dodge Charger, I wasn't interested in the CTS-V, I wasn't interested in the Pontiac G8, and I'm not interested in this. I simply have no interest in 4000 lb RWD sedans, especially American/Australian ones. Sure, if someone put a gun to my head I'd rather have any one of those than a Camry or Accord, but comparing one to a small lightweight coupe whose main focus is feel/handling makes no sense at all. There is zero overlap between the two and, therefor, this thread is silly.

GTO revival?

Capt Canuck 06-22-2012 01:50 AM

Ah yes! A comparison with a car that does not exist... where's the unicorn versus thread? Couldn't this just be appended to that?

speed3 06-22-2012 02:06 AM

It's just an updated Commodore, looks like they put a Honda Accord bumper on a VE II. http://www.holden.com.au/vehicles/commodore

Millions of the bloody things here and they all drive like boats. Comfortable and fast for the highways and decent handling for a 1800kg (~4000lb) car but I know what I'd rather throw at a set of corners.

I want to drive something exciting and nimble-- not a steam-ship on wheels. There's nothing i want less on a track than a 3,800lb. RWD sedan by GM. In fact, i don't know if i would consider a sports car if it were over 3,000lbs. Perhaps only if it were a bit over, so if i did some weight reduction i could make it as light as i like. Honestly, there's almost nothing GM offers that i'm interested in-- and it pains me to say that because i want to like them.

Great... a TSX ___'d a Chevy volt, had a baby who then took steroids.
