Has any one successfully mounted and ran on 245/40's on a 7" rim?
Kinda curious to try that size for the BFG's. Figure with the stiff sidewall it might work.

Yea i was definetly looking at those..i was worried there may be some unforseen problems with them tho. Enkei RPF1s have such a great rep around here they seemed to be the way to go. I definetly love that those are a decent bit cheaper..but cheaper doesnt always work out

Then that would definetly be a good way to go. Not to take any of the fun out of the car, just to make it more neutral

Correct, then (if you get an adjustable bar) you can mess with setting and tire pressure to fine tune the balance further when you're at the track.

Whats everones thoughts on whitelines front sways? 20mm or 22mm? Im thinking 22mm might be too much on this car.

I sell Whiteline, I have my bar too... And Eibach, and Hotchkis... I'm not going to force you onto mine. I will say that the "adjustment" is not always the big deal on some bars for this car, because some really do not shorten the lever arm of the bar because of how the bar drops down. Some bars are more adjustable than others.

A 22mm solid I think is definitely way too much on a BRZ (more front spring) and very likely too much on an FR-S (softer front springs). I opted for a 22mm bar, but a very thin walled hollow bar. Those running it seem to really like the balance. Eventually I will offer an adjustable one because I'm sure there is the demand but so far this non-adjustable has been getting pretty good reviews.

FWIW, I have 2 Whiteline 20mm's in stock. I have shipment of my 22mm hollow due on Monday (I think a few aren't spoken for on that run).

Just picked up my 17x7 ET42 Enkei RPF1's and 225/45R17 Dunlop Z2's. The combo ended up weighing 39LBS 14 OZ if my scale is correct.

Haven't taken them off yet. Others have posted at a little over 40 pounds. Either the Dunlops are rather heavy or my scale is off.

Dunlops are heavier than the stock tires by a bit. Stock tires weigh 20 lbs, the 225/45 ZII's weigh 24 lbs. Worth it for the extra grip though. All of the weights from accurate scales (including my own) I've seen for the stock wheel/tire combo are 40-41 lbs each.

What weight can be removed from a car in RSR. Spare tire, tool kit, owners manual, back seat, acid dipped body? What is allowed?
