If I had to choose between DSTV app working and Torque working, DSTV would lose every time.

Same issue with the DSTV app and iOS but there are usually ways around it.

I see 2forme posted on another thread how he managed to setup torque. Are you doing something similar ?

Thanks, nope I'm following a simpler route - WiFi Elm327 dongle so I don't need bluetooth.

@sav it seems you can install torque after all.
i checked with parrot SA, it should launch here next friday but no confirmation on price...

Received an email from ICE Audio - they have now got Android units in stock for the 86. Waiting for price and more details.

I must be honest though, the Parrot still seems like the best option even though it's not a perfect fit.

Got some more info from ICE and it turns out it's the older Android 2.2 version of my radio, looks the same except for the price...R16500!!!!!!!!!!

In its defense, older or not I think those are pure Android systems, much like the Parrot but then there is no way you can justify the price since they're all around $500 from eBay and even less if you buy from aliexpress.com

the parrot is $599 in the US but one reason i'd go for a local supplier is that the iGo maps that come with the unit are country specific. you could import and then buy the local maps separately though.

I honestly have no idea but there IS a sucker born every minute.

As for the Parrot - there is no need for iGo, you could buy any nav app from the Play Store. Tomtom, Route66, etc etc.

do they do offline maps? iGo stores the maps on the SD card that comes with it
