Abutterman can you post the link if you have time for your heating elements for the seats?

I already have the oem switches for the BRZ to put in the same spot where the 86/BRZ models have them.

However I am not to crazy about having to cut into the plastic but it looks i really do not have any other option at this poin cause I cant return the switches.

Anyways I would like to check out yours n wonder if I could just wire my switches up to that kit.

Anyone else purchased the heating element kit to add the heated seats.

My girlfriend bought me the OEM seat covers off of Nigels site just waiting for them to arrive.

Do you guys recommend to have them installed by a pro as I have never done something like this but it doesnt seem to be to hard, I just want it to look good.

Thanks
Dan

hey i had tried the install bay heaters, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...Fckx4AodggwA2Q but had problems with them setting off the seat belt chime even when they were completely unplugged. There didn't seem to be any simple solution other than disabling the sensor all together. I ended up returning them and ultimately traded the car for a brz limited after other various issues i had with scion

You can disable the seat belt buzzer using a techstream (or getting the dealer to do it, there are some threads on this somewhere). However, this would not affect the airbags ability to turn on, beyond the passenger airbags would be on all the time (because it would always think someone is sitting there with the heater installed). Since just having the heater on the seat set it off even when it isn't on, I am wondering if there is a way to recalibrate the Occupant Detection system to account for the heating element, and adjust the baseline capacitance required to set it off. I say this because the BRZ limited seats have heaters installed, but obviously do not set off the chime, so maybe they are just set a little differently in the occupant detection system ECU, which is part of the seat assembly. Anyone who works at a dealership know anything about this?

These come with rear seats also?

*NM, its front seats only. Looks like Katzkins (require pro install) go for about $789 front and rear.

If it's real leather / alcantara, it's not unreasonable. If it's not, then it's pricey.

Sorry to thread jack but I was not sure where else to post this inquiry.

I recently received a pair of these seat covers from Nigel. They are excellent quality. My problem is that the installation instructions are in Japanese. I cannot read the instructions and the diagrams are inadequate without the corresponding words. Does anyone have an english version of the installation instructions or know where I might be able to view them online?

I just bought these seat covers and they are on their way from japan, I was wondering if you guys put it on opposite seats due to Left hand and right hand drive differences between USA and Japan.

Anyone have any tips on installing these? I'm not exactly sure what the gray straps and the metal hooks on the inside of the seat covers are supposed to do.
