sun on nav screen
Anyone notice when you are driving towards the sun it appears on your nav screen? When I turn away from the sun it drifts off the screen in the direction the sun moves.
Kinda useless, but kinda neat too.

Heh I thought from the title this would be a complaint about the sun making it hard to view the screen. (A problem I have with the aftermarket system in my Yaris)

hehe, that too. The nav stinks and there's a lot of glare. I've just never seen this on a nav before.

Im willing to bet you can get some sort of screen / shade that you could apply to the screen. Similar to those sheilds that hang off the monitors on the flat screen computer moniters that elimnate glare.........Off to google i go...
edit: quick google search rendered a few companies that produce glare shields (similiar to iphone ipad sheilds) Im willing to bet you could buy one for the ipad and cut it to fit the navi screen. |

Do some more research. Soon you will be able to tell in which direction you are heading -north, south, east or west, depending upon the time of day. Let us know how it works out. Galileo Galilei
