Just saw this thread!

I am glad so many of you want to come out to autox. I was hoping we can turn CDC from a mostly miata club to a mostly FRS/BRZ club

I am one of the organizers with CDC and I am very much still learning how to drive my FRS.

Hopefully I will meet you all soon. Please come over and introduce yourself. I will probably be at the timing tent, but you will know me by my black FRS that is parked with the organizers.

I encourage all to come out. Even if you just want to watch. You are welcome to take as many ride alongs with me as you want and most people at CDC share my attitude. I, as well as many other organizers are also available to jump in your car, as a passenger, and show you around the course.

I can't wait for this season!

I thought CDC was a Cobra club.

Just got the email from BMWCCA NCC about their autocross season. Apparently they want to adopt SCCA classing for the non-BMW's. I've never seen anything so needlessly complex related to autocross... Anyone familiar with SCCA classing guidelines and where our twins might fall? I'm guessing somewhere from ES to GS but...

Looking forward to CDC though. Frederick is a ways for me but probably not any worse than Waldorf or Bowie.

They are CS, or RCS for street tire. Change almost anything and it gets bad in a hurry classwise.

Thanks for the info. Wow they must think highly of our cars. Granted if a newbie like me can put down middle-of-the-pack times I'm sure a veteran could destroy.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to do both SCCA and this one. I'll have to dig around and see how this one is.

I cannot find the info on the site, but are CDC events an all-day thing? Can I run only in the morning or only in the afternoon at their events?

You can run morning only and get one extra run. You can also request your heat if you are nice and register early. Heat one is often done their PM runs pretty early.
