I'm not sure the fitment but the RFP1s with +45 sit very flush and you can put a lot of tire on them. I haven't seen the internal fitment with OEM struts.

I love my 8/9 combo with 225/235 tires although if i ever make any more power i will move the 235 up front and go 255 or 265 in the rear. I wish more companies made 8's and 9's there are very few out there. There is a knockoff 57Xtreme from BremmerKraft coming soon i saw on tirerack though.

I was thinking about staggered too (for a future turbo also). But it looks like I'd prefer to be able to rotate my tires. However, maybe it might be really helpful to have more extreme width differences.

Speaking of staggering, the Nissan Delta Wing has 14' wide front tires and 28' wide rear tires (Both 15' tall I believe). Albeit a supercar, something to consider.

I have to disagree with your inactiveness reason and how *we* should not tell people to search. There will be plenty of news about the car, especially with the aftermarket support, tons of people posting pictures of their mods/new car, journals, etc. Activity will die when the community dies... which is not happening anytime soon. This is not my first forum, however it is my first car forum. Compared to other forums, this one has a great community, great staff, well organized sections, and on top of all that... A working and robust search feature. I have seen forums live and die by this feature.

Do you really want 50 posts asking what the stock wheel weight is? To remedy that, we can however add a questions section (ie simple question, simple answer stickies)

Lots of info on running staggered/non-staggered. Personal preference for me is to run staggered just based on looks and adding more traction for the rear. Non-staggered sets are typically more balanced for autocross and what not, but I like staggered a bit more, mainly because when pushing the limits, I prefer a tad bit of understeer in situations rather than oversteer (I'm lame like that).

There are better (and much cheaper) ways to make a car understeer, and the car already does so at the limit. Tire and rim size doesn't necessarily dictate under and oversteer.

This is my recommended alternative. Go square. Figure out the largest tire you can fit front and rear. If necessary, go with higher offsets for flexibility. Next, get ARP extended studs, and run spacers as necessary to get the fitment you want.

Now you have maximum grip, front AND rear, instead of just rear, as well as the look you want. Wouldn't you agree that 255 square tires is universally faster and has more grip than 235/255?

In the end, it's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount you're already planning on spending (~$100 for studs, maybe $100 difference due to wider rims, and ~50 for cheap spacers)

Just my $.02.

I'm in the same boat with ModBargains.com - I went staggered 17x8 / 17x9 with 235/40R17 / 245/40R17 for looks, but realistically speaking, there's not too much of a difference between them (Weds TC105n) right now to make much of a visual impact.

I may go 225/45R17 / 255/40R17 with my next set and have more of a concave rear wheel design. Also expect to have a forced induction kit of some sort by then to actually push the meaty rears.

For winters, I keep the stock size and wheels.

Why Staggered?

Because sexy.

225/40R18 Michelin Super Sports in the front on Enkei Raijins 18x8.5 +45 and
18x9.5 +45 wrapped in 255/35R18 on the rear

all comes down to personal preference if you ask me.

ive considered both options multiple times. I think if you are making some serious power and tracking the car for time it might be a good idea to get some wider wheels/tires for the rear and keep the fronts slightly smaller. I dont have enough expirience on a track to justify that but it seems to make sense. If you are doing it for looks then thats a completely different story you can run staggard all day. There are pros and cons to either option im sure its just a matter of doing some serious research and giving it some serious thought about what goals you have with the car.

I am running a P&L Turbo kit pushing about 300rwhp at the moment, I have 18"x8.5 in the front and 18"x9.5 in the rear. I did that because I have way too much power for the stock tires. On launch control, it keep spinning until 3rd-4th gear... I'm running 265's in the rear for more grip. Because I'm going to be pushing 450-500rwhp within the next 30-45days, I opted for 18x10 and 18x11 set up with the wide body kit... Plus I'll be upgrading to Toyo R888s as the tire set up. Staggered is the way to go
