I have a general thing against 2 door coupes, liftbacks, hatchbacks. Having owned celicas for years you could not really fit anyone there for longer than 10 minutes. I once managed to squeeze 2 adults and 2 children and drove them around for a 1000 miles. Trust me experience was enough to have me buy a 4 door truck (not the only reason of course).

I figure if they want to make a small car then they need to make a small car and make a big trunk. Completely remove rear seats while they are at it.

What's the LFA route?

And in general, I wouldn't be surprised with the hp upgrade over the years. The question remains how long it'll take for it to come out. For me, my car's pretty old, and I'm looking towards a new one.

I have a picture of a right-hand drive setup that I found in a Japanese car mag if anyone is interested... I will post it tonight on this thread.
Also hopefully the "high spec" will have the LED lights, i'm hoping its not just a pre-production thing...

TBH, that is the exact reason why I like liftbacks and hatches!! Whoever was brave enough to sit in the back of my Integra would have a deadleg in a matter of minutes. If I wanted to cater to those who rode in the back, I would have bought a sedan!

We have the same truck and the only reason why I got the dbl cab was so I have room for my bike stands, generator, gear bag, canopy, tools etc when I went to the track. There wasn't too much room when 2 bikes are strapped down. It sucks b/c during the snow season, I get the constant, "hey bro, can I roll with you!!"

Thanks in advance for sharing, but please start a new thread with your new pic and info, not in this totally unrelated thread.

Aber auf dem Prüfstand sind sowohl eine 250-PS-Variante als auch ein Roadster.

Hello, I am a new member in this forum. But I am reading it already longer time.

The quote from the magazine doesn´t mean that they are already testing or putting that 250PS - Version on a dyno.
It means that they are thinking about the higher hp and a roadster - version.

And "Roadster" in german is meaning the same: 2 seats!
But maybe the journalist used it wrong and meant a "normal" convertible.

Have a great time

Matt

Thats not fair as generally you have people who are happy long distance passengers and those that would complain being in the back of a Rolls Royce for more than 10mins.

I drove my 1st Celica Gen6 300miles once with 5 people in it; 4 of those 5 were at least 6 foot tall.

As far as coupe's go the celica has always been pretty generous with the leg room compared to other similar sized cars.

Compared to the Supra, you could play a round of Golf in the back of the Celica.

Just a question, if these are new pictures, why isn't it in the Photos/Media/Photoshops section???

I really hope the engine bay doesn't have all those hoses all over the place ...

Welcome and thanks for the translation! So they're "thinking" about the variants huh. Just as I suspected, the "250ps" figure was purely made up as per the usual journalist standards. The fact that they are even "thinking" about a higher hp version, however, means that there's still room to tune for more hp while maintaining reasonable reliability, and that's the good news to take away from it.

The headlights are projectors, that doesn't necessarily mean that they are HIDs. Projector style housings can accommodate both HID and Halogen bulbs.

+1

If they end up being Halogen projectors the car will need both the HID bulbs and ballasts for a retrofit if there isn't a factory upgrade option. Fortunately I have some experience with that as shown in my avatar

Exactly, it really isn't difficult to install an HID kit. and since aftermarket HID kits are dirt cheap these days, the overpriced factory HID option is no longer a necessity.
