I deleted the main resonator today and holy cow does it add throttle response! It also sounds like a mild CAI now! Lovn it with my Perrin silicon inlet tube + filter. Also installed my new nameless exhaust. Car actually lights up the tires now if I stand on the throttle after coasting at 2k RPM's in 1st... Never would have done that.... No lag in the peddle now or anything. glad I got rid of the box. I'll post a picture tomorrow. I chopped off the tube that connects the resonator then cut a hole in the resonator the size of the hole it left in the main box and plastic welded it shut. I would recommend everyone to do this!!! Pictures will come tomorrow night.

Since it is pre-filter... do you even really need to plug the hole left by deleting the main box?
How do you remove it without cutting. The tube connecting it has weird looking pins holding it together. I don't know how to remove them. Last edited by sw20kosh; 02-24-2013 at 05:41 AM. |

IF your afraid of water getting into the duct dont get it. 7 years I have been modding cars and I have yet to hear of anyone hydro locking there cars. Unless your a dumbass then it will happen but no one I know in the s2000 community also where they are very common to have intakes like this. Its simple if you live in an area that rains a lot dont buy it if your scared. Either way with all the time ive spent on s2k forums and honda tech I have NEVER seen anyone say that their car has gotten hydro locked because of a CAI or duct. Anyone who mods their cars good chance they arent stupid when it comes to driving cars and know how to prevent such things from happening. People who use hydro locking as an excuse to not purchase a product like this really need to realize that unless your an idiot its not gonna happen unless for some reason there was a flood and I doubt anyone would be driving in water anywhere higher than 1 foot. |

Do you have the nameless axleback and downpipe combo or just the axleback. I have the axleback on order and am thinking of adding the downpipe to my order. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

The true CAI's that are out show the most consistent gains without tuning since they get the lowest IAT's while improving air flow. |

I just had bit of a sticky beak around the airbox. It looks like that resonator is only attached by rivets. When I install the Perrin silicon intake and filter I might drill them out and either seal it up. I was also thinking you could find a hose that fits and route it infront of the radiator for a miniscule amount of extra airflow

you can buy a rivet gun and box of rivets at home depot for less than 10 bucks i think. You just drill the center out and the rivet pops out, but take the lid off your box to do this, don't need anything getting sucked into the engine.

This is my set up, I kept the noise gen connected, I like the sound it makes through the alloy HKS pipe. I did get rid of the big resonator OEM on the left, I took the box off to do it. I didn't want any scrap metal to float in from drilling out the OEM rivets. A 1 1/2" cap from True Value did the job. 1.25 + tax
