It doesn't bother me honestly. It does present a nice sound when you have the RPMS up and is unnoticeable while tooling around.

At least it actually originates in the engine bay and is not generated by the stereo which is ridiculous.

it's louder than it should be.... I feel like it's cheating, lol.

PLUS it gets in the way in the engine bay for no reason.

it takes up precious space that would be better suited for real parts (crickets excluded)
I was surprised how large that contraption was when we took it out. Redonk!

Anyone approached their dealer to have it removed? Don't wanna mess with warranty, and I am no fan of sound gimmicks... even though that was the only reason I added an cold air to my yaris

Its also a lot of unneccessary crrap under the hood I could do without.

Lol that was posted after another post that has since been deleted. So it's a bit out of context at this point.

1 chick 2 another:

It this huge tube that takes up lots of room that goes from the oem air filter box (front right of nose around front of engine, then back alond left side and down into hole in fire wall )
It pumps sound from the engine, when in the rpm power band, into the cab so that people inside the car can feel like they are going fast b/c the engine is "roaring" inside. Next time you drive on the hwy thry to focus on the engine noise with radio off.

IMO it's kinda dumb. I didn't buy this thinking it was going to sound like a 5.0 V8.

I took that travesty out and put in injen cold air, and it sounds way better b/c its real sound and I can notice a difference in pull b/c it breathes way better.

I don't have much of a problem with it, but at first when I drove it for the first time on public roads. And I might not be the only person who do this when you've gotten used to manual. You tend to shift at about 3000 rpm and you don't always look at the tach but listen to it, with the sound thing it throws you off. I had a hard time at first, I would shift and then it only be at like 2000 or lower. I would have to look, I also felt rude at first since the first time I drove it I had a rep with me at a drive event and it was a very nice lady, whom I didn't want to give the wrong impression that I was just stepping on it with a heavy right foot. It's not that bad but it's something to get used to .

People don't like it because they want to change things. I personally like the sound.

If you like the sound of the engine with the noise generator, then you will absolutely LOVE the sound with an intake! Also the sound will come from the engine compartment and not from under your passenger's butt!

I also went with the Injen and I love it but the Perrin CAI does sound even better.

Why do people like fake boobs? I mean most women look better with them. Mainly because you feel cheated when you realize it isn't the real thing.
