If all is well I would hope to have a few designs ready for production within a few months of the car being out.
Good wheels weigh less than tire rubber...

...but 19" on this car? Might as well raise it up and call it a donk.

It seems there will be quite a few of us developing parts. I know my FR-S/BRZ will go from the dealership to the shop for tear down and measurements. I have quite a few ideas brewing and can't wait for this car to arrive.

also yes to carbon/lightweight mods to keep things practical and in the same ideals the designers had when developing this awesome car. not sure if i would get a carbon hood though, since OEM is aluminum already. (if i read that right somewhere?)

Then you might as well add a few more things to your list.
  • Ti retainers
  • Stiffer valve springs
  • Oversized valves (possibly Ti, or Sodium filled)
  • Higher Comp. and/or lightweight Pistons

Because you're going to need revs, and plenty of them.

yeah a good valvetrain is important for sure.
not sure about higher comp pistons though. i mean, 12.5:1 is not high enough?

im in CA and we only get 91 octane. more compression is uh, not going to play nice i think.

oh, i would like to add some sort of tuning module. somehting like AEM or greddy. piggyback i guess. something with a nice GUI for the average not so tech savvy guys (like me) to use.

its going to be interesting to see how the engine responds to aftermarket parts.

Theres not going to be much weight savings with this car... with those mods, I'm sure the hood and trunk is aluminum.

if it can run 12.5:1 on pump gas, it'll probably handle 14:1 on E85

It's direct injected, so probably more than 14:1 on E85 since ethanol has like what 30 times the cooling capacity per unit mass?

I will most likely be developing body / aero for this car. Attempt to collab with some engineers using CFD (since I don't have money for a wind tunnel). But also, just come out with tasteful (hopefully) add on parts as well... Nothing is forsure until we see the final product of course.

As for the LSx comment... I am fairly certain the engine WILL not fit.... but another one has been fitted, which you guys will see soon I think. *hint* This was a low-key bit of info passed to me by an insider. Can't say more.

Hey man you have got to hook us up with some of those aero kits

I personally would like to see an exhaust so it can sound like an Impreza
I love that exhaust, or at least one that sounds like the 2jz, but that's harder, being a I6

You're right if those come aluminum. Then it would save me a couple hundreds or even a thousand to buy other mods.

Man the car is already light and it is pretty well loaded in the high-spec trim at 2711 pounds.
The car doesn't even have an aluminum suspension...so we know the hood is aluminum and probably the trunk. Sure the car is about the size of a 370z so that helps too.

I say go for some good light weight forged rims. I wonder how much the stock rims weigh?
