If you turn on Auto mode, then set the dual temp control to as low as you can set it to match the outside temp (or as Lo as the auto temp setting goes if outside temp is even lower that the lowest auto setting "Lo"). Also make sure that the "recirculation air" button is off to get fresh outside air. Other wise you are just recycling the air inside the car and only the A/C can cool that down or make it fresher because of the Hepa filter. When I do that in 50 to 65 degree range, the air stays off and I get plenty of fresh outside air from whatever vents i set to be active.

mine works great and I love it. Get in the car in the morning and set it to 70-73. maintains a comfortable temp the whole time - mind you this is in winter too!

Although I have the Premium model the probable reason why one still gets air circulation is for safety reasons (to eliminate any possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning). There may be other functional/equipment reasons as well. Please note:
Modern automobiles, even with electronically-controlled combustion and catalytic converters can still produce levels of carbon monoxide which will kill if enclosed within a garage or if the tailpipe is obstructed (for example, by snow) and exhaust gas cannot escape normally. Source: Wikipedia

This does not mean, however, that you are protected in the "garage" example described above. It is probably intended if one falls asleep while taking a break at a highway rest stop, for instance, with windows closed and engine on.

Safe Driving and Stay Awake. The Dog speaks.

I feel this regardless of the cabin recirculation button being lit (outside air vent is closed) or not and regardless of temperature outside.

Anyone else experience this?
