i think hsd makes the stance products but i could be wrong
there are definitely faster options. maybe even for a smaller price (but thats just speculation on my part). they dont have the tenure or pedigree that would indicate they would be your best option but at a certain price point they may be a decent option. |

i am not trying to start anything but i think this thread needs a little more transparency:
you guys keep talking about poeple winning races and such on stance coilovers, however those are not the coilovers that are availible for the frs. The coilover system on the s2k mentioned are at a very different price point than the system offered for the fr-s/brz platform. |

i understand that unit is nolonger availible.
however the base model coilover they are offering for the frs is far from a time attack or motorsport coilover. it is a nice piece of equipment, infact i like them more than the tein offerings at the same price levels. i just dont think its fair to compare it to compare it to race level systems. |

I think the only difference between the Super Sport coilovers for the FR-S and the AL+ units on that specific S2000 above is the fact that the AL+ is aluminum body versus steel as EarlQHan mentioned. Nothing internally different besides the unit being developed for an S2000 versus our cars.
But I do see where you are coming from about showcasing some of their higher level coilovers on proven cars. I think they are doing this just to showcase the brand and that they do have a proven reputation and history, since compared to many other reputable suspension companies, they have not been around as long, and many people are not aware of them. Brand Awareness. With the popularity of our chassis though, it may only be a matter of time before we see them producing some of their higher level systems for our cars =D, or at least we can hope! |

I hope to see some more from them soon..
I am going to be testing a set of "entry" level adjustable coils for the next few months so I will be waiting to see what stance decides to bring to market. |

So what I'm getting here is that these do perform? Only thing I don't like is that the dampening is adjusted from the bottom of the front struts. Would this be a inconvenient? I'm torn between these and Fortune Autos now..

I feel like these coils made me a better drifter.
Forrest Wang/ pro drifter sponsored by stance runs stance coils on all his cars. He's got a s14 that had stance coils for 5-6 years. just saying how strong these are. ![]()

Yes these definitely do perform. They are top quality coils and we have had nothing but happy customers. As for the fronts being inverted, this is a huge plus for performance reasons. Should decrease fluid temperatures as well as the weight distribution of the coilover. Dampening may not be as easy as just popping the hood, but its still easy. You can turn the wheel and just reach under the coilover. Once you get a good setting, its not like you will be messing with it all the time.
Btw we have these in stock as well at the lowest pricing. |

Also as mentioned above, yes these may not be "race" level systems, but that doesn't mean they won't perform exceptionally well at the track. Unless you are racing professionally there is no need to spend double the price compared to these on coilovers on 3way dampening adjustable coilovers just for a weekend racer. Depending on your budget, to most FRS owners that daily drive and track as a hobby, these are a very good choice. We ran this set on our track TC and loved it. Performed exceptionally well at the track, yet it still took us back home comfortably at the end of the day.

I believe that STANCE is probably a step above your typical BC/Megan/Raceland/other crap coils, but to say that there is "no reason" for a weekend warrior to want something even a step above these is a pretty bold statement. There's a lot of subjective stuff going on when it comes to that decision that must be made person to person.
In regards to the NASA winning S2000 driver, it sounds to me like he's a fantastic driver but either unable or too lazy to learn how to setup a dual adjustable system. At that level of competition a single adjustable system is without a doubt a negative. More control, if you know how to use it, is very, very rarely a bad thing. @CSG Mike or @CSG David might want to jump in here. ![]() Nathan |
