STANCE coilovers

STANCE has developed coilovers for the FRS / BRZ.

I found this picture on their Facebook, I believe no real info has been given yet but another great coilover option for us!

I've run STANCE on my previous S13, AE86, MX5, and FC so I'm a little biased ^_~

I was wondering if/when they were going to come out with something. Had them on my S14 and loved them.

Too bad I'm impatient and ordered some Fortunes today, and now I see these and PBM working on stuff...d'oh!

Looking at the rear it doesn't look like there's alot of shock height adjustment to be had though...

That rear looks suspiciously low to me.

Here is a shot of my RS*R rear shock before I installed it:

It's only 2-4mm lower than stock right now, and was installed at that height. It looks like they lowered that as much as possible, or put some serious preload on it before snapping the photo.

I wonder how they will compare to BC coilovers w/ swift springs.

empower-auto 07-12-2012 02:06 PM

Stance and BC are strikingly similar.

Stance, I'll say, has some amazing after-sales service and warranty.

Waiting for HSD to put something out. I'd use those over Stance or BC. Just don't buy them from some online wholesaler 2000 miles away.

Are these coilovers made to improve handling or is this for the "stance/hellaflush" crowd?

I had Stance coilovers on my Miata and feel that although they're not bad per say, I wouldn't consider them as 'serious' coilovers like KW V3s or even Tein Monoflexes.

Ergo, they're named 'Stance' for a reason. No problems running them on a cheapish car but personally I wouldn't put them on a brand new $25k ride that's already well set up on OEM suspension.

YMMV.

7k front 5k back? or vice versa?

Coastermikey 07-12-2012 07:47 PM

Been waiting for them to put out a set of coils

They wouldn't be the first do that. The D2 coils are also setup that way:

I don't think it's going to do anything but make the car oversteer, but that's great for slideways driving.
